Nice! Glad we getting out there letting these young men know we watching them. Chin , OA and Walker keeping up with new relationships. This is how we get quality kids in our program. 2nd year recruitment progression will keep the shelves stocked, not letting us have years with big holes. #wewillwin! ;):illinois:

If it does come to fruition, which seems likely at this point, file this under someone else making decisions for the athlete. He would rather be elsewhere.

There has been one tweet from a Miznoz guy saying Parker Braun to the Cuonzos. Seems to have been deleted. Gabe DeArmond.

So let me get this straight. PB has offers from Az, LSU, Va Tech, Ol Miss and the Illini but chooses to walk on at Miznoz.
Find this hard to believe.

THIS is Illini basketball recruiting. It's also a world where so many teams get players back who 'declared' for the NBA, but we lose Leron Black (and I get it and have no ill will towards LB). It's a world where kids elsewhere stay loyal to their home school, but many local kids go anywhere but Illinois.

In short, I'll believe anything these days.

But there is very little evidence to suggest this is true yet.

Just generalizing in the world of Okoros and Bate-Diops and the like. We seem to rarely get the homers.



Anyhow, I stopped questioning recruiting logic after Cliffmas and Snyder.

Braun to Mizzou as preferred walk on should prove a few things. 1) he isn’t very good 2) this may be just how desperate Illinois is right now and 3) just how delusional a fan base can be.

Or it could prove that our staff is fumbling around in the dark a lot of the time.
