Watching the game. Damonte looks stronger; he was aggressive in the first have and made three or four jumpers. a few of those jumpers were off the bounce or a power dribble to get better position. he dribbles well. he also dunked from a two footed stance. I'm impressed so far.
he for sure ups our athletic quota, I hope he can play like this game all year long. It is a shame they don't have much size where he could play more D on guards rather then post player for the other team just to see what he can do
Awesome highlights! If the switch has flipped for Da'Monte, he's got the potential to be a big time player. Good size, athleticism, and skill package. I hope he gets to play more on the ball this year.

Damonte finished its 28 tonight. Javon had 29 tonight. Our commits are tearing it up!
This is GREAT. Of all of our commits, everyone is most worried about Tilmon after their 1st games! If this continues, we are going to have a dynamite class!
I watched the game on my phone but I believe Damonte had a put back dunk on a missed free throw to end the 3rd quarter and then on the first play of the 4th quarter had a back door alley oop slam. Like I said before don't discount him from being the starting PG or getting a ton minutes at PG and SG.
I don't really care where he is ranked I can't recall a player we have had that can do that from the PG/SG position in the last 10 years. Better athlete and more in control than Nunn at the same stage. Better around game than Luther but not the same hops. I think the closest is Paul, but I think Williams is ahead as well. Like somebody mentioned he has size, dribbling/passing, athleticism, shooting skills. The kid covers the court very well, hard to measure that. But he covers a lot of ground on defense and gets from point a to point b pretty fast.
We should be really happy with our recruits.
I was thinking DWade as well but didn't want to say it because I would be feeding the trolls. Like I mentioned before got to see Nunn quite a bit his senior year on tv or online and Williams game is further ahead IMHO.
Probably the biggest problem for Damonte is that he will be playing out of position like most recruits in high school. It would be nice for him to be a full time PG or Combo guard. But last night he played mostly on the wing in the first half. During the second half it appears a switch was made and they have him more as a PG or top of the key. Once he gets a head of steam on him he is tough to stop, just a big PG.
Anybody have an idea what happened to their 3 pt shooter from Kentucky? I hope he didn't transfer.
If DWill puts it together, look out. Obviously, one can say that about anybody. But Williams brings a level of athleticism and size rarely seen, at least by the likes of us. Impossible to tell if he'll be able to morph into a legit PG now, but hopefully the motor questions will be put to rest. Sky is the limit.
