Agree, TC. Thank you, Judge, for sharing your knowledge and expertise. Your posts are always insightful. Quite a few other special posters have seemed to have dropped off the board, probably due to the grief given them by trolls and other negative Nancys. I, too, appreciate the class that the judge and a few other significant contributors bring to this :illinois: board. :thumb:

Thanks, Chief. Although I'm not as active as I once was, I still appreciate all of the great information and good humor on this board.

Co-sign. As one of the sort of "old-timers" on here, it's been fun seeing the ebb and flow of posters over time. Good ones come and go and I'm glad for some of those, like Judge Yates, who have stayed through thick and thin. I do miss some however, like IlliniJP4ever (anyone remember him?), BrookTaylorFan, Orange Fever, and Groundhog Day for the insight, wit, eloquence, and occasional humor they provided.

Oh man, totally forgot about some of these names, especially Groundhog Day.

Some of us are relative old timers who don't post a lot but just like to stick in some humor every now and then as a token of appreciation for all of the valuable insight and inside(ish) scoop so many of you others provide-unlike me.

So thank you. And you're welcome!

Frazier had 30 pts last Saturday in a 75-44 rout of Seminole Ridge. After 7 games this year, Frazier is averaging 22.9 pts, 4.6 assts, and 4.7 rbs.
Wellington is at home tonight against Jupiter.

Froling has a younger brother who just turned 16 in October. He is very good. Package deal??

I'm actually disinterested in Harry Froling after his comments. I don't know why because he really didn't say anything inflammatory, but I'd pass at this point. He played in every game and was averaging about 15min, yet he wanted a bigger role. He's a freshman that needs to earn playing time. The only way he sticks around in the U.S., in my opinion, is if some non power 5 school tells him he will start otherwise I bet he tries his hand a pro ball in Australia. I know nothing about the younger Froling.

These guys have all toned it down a bit and slipped out of the limelight, ... I believe in hopes of become cabinet members in the next administration.

And speaking of Kipper Nichols, I predict a double-double for him. Just not sure when.

I hope you save this thread for when he gets his first career double double in 2019 against Southeast Missouri Tech College. Though you'll have plenty of other scares as he will get 9 or 9 pts dozens of times before then, just to tease you.

Dude moved from Australia, where he spent his entire known life, to Texas. That's not an easy tranisition and it's pretty clear he's homesick. Kind of childish of you to take a stance like that.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I guess I fail to see why my thoughts were "childish." He referenced envisioning a larger role than the one he currently had as a major reason why he is leaving despite being a regular player off of their bench. If he is wanting more than the 15 minutes per game he currently is receiving then what he is looking for is a starting role somewhere which we and other teams won't be able to offer. Furthermore, I personally want guys on the team concerned about winning more than how much time they're not getting on the court. Give me a competitor any day, but some things must be earned. I wish no ill will towards anyone, but he just doesn't seem like a match here at Illinois.

Groce in to see Liddell tonight. He has 7 of first 9 points. Belleville west vs Belleville east. Pickett playing for East. Groce has been to a lot of East-West games last couple years.

Wellington wins tonight 80-55. Frazier with 38. Kid is going to be special.

We do not get many Kramer sightings these days as well.

Don't forget about the best of the best, Ol' Ward!

Wanting more minutes is just an easy excuse for most transfers to use. Who knows if that is the main reason he is leaving. Maybe he doesn't like the new staff, maybe he doesn't fit in the offense, maybe he doesn't like the campus. We don't know the real reason he is transferring.
