:thumb: Goosebumps!!! Thanks for the reminder. Mark Smith in a rotating backcourt with Ayo, Da'Monte, Trent and Te'Jon is going to terrorize Big Ten basketball. Not many teams can keep up with that group pushing the ball up for quick shots and harassing the opposition guards from the moment the ball is in their hands. Come home, illinois:-YO!!!

No doubt about it. A Thursday announcement is a big sigh of relief, because the other alternative thrown around was Monday -- and that would be after THT's visit.

If Ayo announces on Thursday, and THT takes his visit as planned, that signals at least a willingness to play together. And if that's the case, having a 5* PG on board makes the program that much more attractive for THT.

I need to know. I am ashamed as a grown man to be into it this much, but I am tired of not making the tourney. Gotta keep this Chicago talent home.

lol I dont blame you, we would all do the same thing is we were in your shoes, heck my cousin lived next door to Groces parents and went to school with him, so yeah I talked to my cousin alot more then normal for a while

And finally my favorite: I work at a barbershop in Chitown and lots of folks who ABSOLUTLY know stuff come and talk about Chicago recruiting. It is Gospel:tsk:

As I recall, I suggested something (remotely) similar long, long ago. It would especially help us Financial types in sorting though the muck and organizing the information in a logical and interpretable manner. However, I guess it's probably a little too much to expect from social media.

As for me, I'm in same category as Cencal -- I live 1000 miles away in SC and I can't imagine that I'll ever stumble upon any useful recruiting information for this audience.....although I do try to attend the Peach Jam for 1 day every year.

Papa Del's -- and I'm hoping for great news on Thursday evening!

Umm I would hope they would go to every Chicago recruit's announcement where Illinois is one of the final choices, whether the recruit is going to Illinois or not. This doesn't mean anything to me.

It is invite - only. So if he was to announce WF that would be the way to do it, away from all the IL fans that would want to go.

Giles picked Duke over a rebuilding WF. Picking a rebuilding WF over us is way different.

If he was worried about doing it away from Illinois fans he could just announce on twitter or release a video or something along those lines. The defeatist attitudes on this board are truly remarkable.
