Put in it In the books guy. We have locked down the Finn. He will be an Illini before the 17th. He will be announcing on his time. It's a good day to be an Illini fan.

Loyalty at dark strikes again. Hopefully you're right, and this gets the ball rolling.

It will be the 1st domino. Ayo will hopefully the next. Not hearing good stuff on THT from my sources. Also hearing Finke is an easy fall back plan and will commit if wanted.

The lack of :hailtotheorange: is oddly encouraging.

I’d think with Elias, plus if we’re lucky enough to get Ayo, Finke might end up as a fall fall fall back. Could see the staff trying to hit a home run on a spring signee after a good season.

If we are going to take an SF/wing player then Tim is clearly a lower priority than some of the other guys we are looking at (Valtonen, THT, Nolley). It's a shame because he is a local kid and obviously has the family connections but he essentially played his way out of consideration this past summer. Who knows, though? Maybe he'll fix his issues somehow and will have a great HS season and can get back on the radar again.

It's all on TF, he could've committed anytime during his So or JR seasons and we would've welcomed him. He was too busy showing more interest in Ohio St & ND etc.

I think we get our wing within the next few days.:illinois: If not though, sure I could see TF as a possibility in the Spring.

Ehh, graduated a year ahead of one of his assistants, and about a month ago I heard that was not the case at all.

Prob true but at the same time wouldnt be shocked if that has changed given his sudden drop in rankings

Uhh well idk when you heard but my source told me after his horrible summer showing, that Loyola was the favorite now. And if your telling me he'd rather go to Loyola then follow in the family's foot steps if asked at Illinois...... be my guest

My source is telling me The Finn is committing before the 17th. [emoji102]

I'd rather him commit before the 13th so I could stop living in suspense, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers.

I put no stock in the last 2 pages but if true it would immensely help to have a commitment before Ayo got here.

No idea who is/was or might be the favorite but Loyola picked up this guy today. I watched him a lot this summer while checking on Malik Hall. A fantastic shooting guard. Not sure they have room but they are sure picking up some very good players. The kid they got yesterday was a pg from a Canada Nike team.

Btw, for anyone looking for updates on Valtonen. Rules prohibit the media from talking about recruits when they're on campus for visits.
