No one really cares about NCAA success once you get into the NBA.

Still winning in the NCAA matters much more than winning in AAU IMHO.

We've heard of GM types asking if a kid wins.....they ask that in HS too, but they usually refer to high school ball vs AAU tournaments, as the AAU teams are much less structured and system oriented.

Nick Irvin says Adam Miller is beyond where Ayo was as a Soph. Mike I. chimes in that Miller is the best 2020 PG in the country. Yikes!!

The Irvins are known to talk up their players, but these proclamations might not be too far off. Miller seems to be a pretty special talent. We should have a great shot with Miller.

I don't really care if he's #1, kid is good. Kinda wish he stayed in Peoria. Love that pipeline. If he wants to help start a Morgan Park pipeline, I'm good with that too.

I don't know if we'll have a great shot, but we should at least have a shot, which is better than we've had for a long time. Playing time will be a big factor as we go against the elites. Who knows? Maybe in two years we'll be in a position to compete for top 50 recruits nationally.

We are the leader as of last year. Even stronger leader with Ayo on board.

Maybe I am misunderstanding your post, but aren't we already in a position to compete for top 50 recruits? Top 20 recruits, probably not.

Luckily, it isn't unique to us. Remember that creep MSU guy that visited Mark Smith's house!? Their fanbase was so pissed at that guy, and rightly so.

Red Cedar just burning that guy to the ground was a real delight.

I agree we've been able to compete for selected top 50 recruits like Ayo, Tilmon, Black, JCL. In the future, though, I'm hoping our program will have more national recognition and some of the recruiting barriers that have existed for the last decade will disappear, giving us better access to more highly-ranked players. 2017 is somewhat of a baseline and we've already seen BU go national. I expect that to continue with better results.

Fewest number of RSCI (top 100) players (2-Smith/Black) on our roster since 08-09 (McCamey/Legion).

Tim Finke gets a whole lot more interesting if he grows to 6'8" or taller like his brother did about this time ...

Agree, but he also needs a break-out year. The spring recruiting should be interesting. We'll have a lot better feeling for where the real needs exist.

re:THT. Our "insiders" (Cash, THEILLsource, stuemke....) have been eerily quiet. Negotiations still occurring? Good sign or bad?

I take that back, we have 3 RSCI this year. Aaron Jordan was #91. I didn't know he was that high.Surprising!!

For anyone curious, securing a THT commitment would move us up to the ~#18/19 recruiting class in the nation according to Rivals.

If one of his best friends get a scholarship offer from Illinois for football he is here for sure. Heard it hear first! JMO
