247 composite--TF @ #108 and DMW @ #173.

I'm surprised because I checked it late last year and they were like 101 and 104. Oh well, they are going to be spectacularly wrong in Da'Monte's case. Sheesh, just because I guy gets hurt his senior year doesn't seem like his ratings should plummet to that extent.

Hopefully Cash says he's going to Iowa State...

Seriously.

Maybe the guy was just reporting what he heard, and his source was as fooled as Cash was. But man......it's tough to bounce back when a kid commits to VA Tech literally 90 minutes after you proclaim that he's coming to Illinois.

Anyway......as I've always said........near-consensus on Crystal Balls (especially this close to the announcement) means more than anonymous insiders on a message board. And in this case, the Crystal Balls seem to be in our favor. Let's hope that continues.

Fewest number of RSCI (top 100) players (2-Smith/Black) on our roster since 08-09 (McCamey/Legion).

Interestingly enough, htat 08-09 team ended up 2nd in the B10 and in the tourney. Go figure

McColley is weird, but he's weird in an eclectic, likable way. From what I could tell, Hondo is just plain creepy.

I love McColley, peronally. Schroat comes to mind. We needn't even mention the impact the donut brothers have had on past recruitments.

That's a great sign! Nick is preaching loyalty, and Ayo is retweeting it, saying he's loyal and all in. I think this means THT is likely a future Illini and Ayo ain't goin' anywhere. Nice! :thumb::cool::chief:

Oh, and #5/19 is a birthday reference, I've heard. His dad's maybe?

It means 5 state titles by 2019.

Ayo is not going anywhere. Loyalty is everything to his family. Nothing to worry about, unlike Tilmon's recruitment we can rest easy.

Meyer just predicted Langford and Garland to Indiana which would really suck for the rest of the B1G. If this happens I'm going to Btown Banners to see if Brass Cannon is still b'ing and m'ing about hiring Archie.

Archie is going to have Indiana at the top of the conference fairly soon, IMO.

Looking ahead 5 years, I see the Big Ten as follows:

1. Michigan State
2. Indiana

3. Illinois / Ohio State / Michigan

6. Maryland / Wisconsin / Purdue

9. Minnesota / Northwestern

Saw that CB earlier today. Once Indiana announced their hire of Archie I felt like these nice days where Indiana was a crazy yo-yo of a program were going to rapidly fade into memory. Both we and Indiana are poised to roar back into form. Garland would be a huge coup.

Rising tide, right?

I don't think Izzo coaches another 5 years. I also think you have Maryland ranked way too low. The Under Armour money is just too great. They will keep the turtles close to the top.

Based on the expectations surrounding BU, fans see BIG championships before 5 years. Five year predictions don't have a lot of value, but I expect us to be competitive with any team in the BIG in that 3-5 year period.
