Hate to bring it back up, but SLU folks are saying Tilmon to SLU is adone deal. Talked to one of their fairly good boosters lat night and he brought it up. Says that a SLU coach had told him a week ago. Sid that jg is pissed at Tilmon for going back to estl. Also says they have no shot with Ramey, but that they are in good with Gordon and Watson. I laughed about Gordon and he says they are very confident. Keep in mind he also Sid if Justin Tatum had known Ford was going to be the coach that he would have gone to SLU over duke.

That last statement completely kills the credibility of that booster IMO.

UCLA scheduled Wilkes and Trent together, some fans see it as a snafu others think it is best to get great players together. I'm not sure it matters, considering Trent plays a slightly different position (SG vs SF) and might be leaning elsewhere. That being said there doesn't seem to be a fan base excitement over Wilkes like there was at Illinois.

He didn't have any credibility to begin with. Don't think JT wants anything to do with SLU or their creepy looking remake of their mascot.

Dunno. Tilmon may jump to SLU if Ford promises him that he can play point guard.

I highly doubt Groce would act pissed at JT, he has him committed and wouldn't want to jeopardize that. Also, JT has visited since going back to estl.

Not only did he visit, but he did it to help recruit Wilkes to UI. Doesn't seem like something a recruit unsure of their commitment would do.

Goodwin will always be a (What if) guy. when his name is brought up good or bad it will but what if he was at iowa what if he was at Kansas what if he was playing in a power 5 I wish we would of got him to come here but I happy with who we have and hoping for more. If Goodwin is here we have no chance at wilkes

Yeah, I just can't see someone that would rather be coached by Ford over Coach K. Your booster friend is drinking the juice.

New SLU mascot looks like a blue Hoosier.:)

That's funny!

Hope for a great visit with Jacob Epperson tomorrow. Still feel we need additional big men on the team, especially another incoming freshmen. Would prefer both Epperson and Kiir, unless Wilkes does indeed to come here. We are thin at the position 2-3 years down the road. I don't subscribe to the theory that Tilmon would scare away another PF or C, especially recruits that need to physically develop and are on 4 year plans. Even the weakest programs have several big men incoming or already in the program.

Regarding Goodwin, I began to feel he squeezed himself out of a spot at Illinois. It was there for the taking, but you get that feeling that the ship had sailed. Possibly he reconsiders down the road, and follows the road that Kenny Battle and Rayvonte Rice followed.

Some fairly positive comments from Wilkes about IU in this last piece about his visit to UCLA but I'm sure there are some people who will find a way to interpret them in a different way.

Then don't bring it up. In fact don't make it up, since it's laughable.

Not sure what you mean there. It was indeed there for the taking, but it is not that Goodwin waited too long and Illinois got tired of waiting and accepted a commitment from someone else at that position. So not sure how to interpret your statement, probably you mean something else than how I read it.

Sean Mobley - a stretch 4 - just committed to VCU in the class of 2017. That's 2 power forwards in that class. Can they possibly take Mayan Kiir as a third power forward in 2017?
