This kid has his own Wikipedia page. He may be off the radar to us but he's got some press coverage this summer and attention from the likes of Arizona. If OA gets him to Illinois, it will be a major coup. You have to be impressed with the effort our staff is making.

Not sure about his injury and what effect it might have had on the quality of his play. But it would be hard to beat Arizona/Sean Miller for his services (if they are still interested) given the strong Finnish connection at Arizona (Lauri Markkanen going #7 in NBA draft after just one year at Arizona). Unlike our Canadian pipeline, their Finnish connection seems a bit more real.

One of the videos posted he said jumpers knee. That's just tendinitis. Shouldn't be altering at all besides rust from sitting out. He also said Oklahoma state was recruiting him in the same video so maybe (hopefully) Underwood has been on him just as long as Miller.

Ideally, I'd take as many '18 wings as possible then replace Black/Finke in '19 with Liddell/Okoro... but I may be overdosing on the Koolaid.

Agreed. Too risky of a move maybe but I do think THT and Nolley can run at the 4 under BU, if those were two wings we land.

Andrew Slater generally knows his stuff, especially when it concerns the ACC (VT).

He's rarely wrong on his predictions. This is likely as close to a lock for VT as it gets. So ... Underwood & staff better work extremely hard to find another wing (THT?!?) because Nolley probably ain't comin'.

Wow, that escalated quickly. Went from "Nolley is dying to commit to Illinois" to "Nolley is a lock to VT" in the span of about 2 days.

But as I said before, I'll wait patiently and see how it unfolds on October 7th. Not going to get sucked into the drama of insider vs. insider.

This 2018 center Kisunas interest is a bit concerning because it screams backup plan. You always get a little concerned when the coaching staff starts targeting other players at a position of need because it feels like they know something about their priorities. On a side note, every time I've recently heard Piper he has been incredibly optimistic about how Illinois' recruiting class is going to turn out. So who knows...
