Wow, I was thinking a reference to some kind of promiscuous fish. Gotta cut back on the Bushmills.

Let's not make any hasty decisions :thumb:

Glad I can laugh at myself. Wish I could blame alcohol.

Back to recruiting, why is it always so dramatic with Illinois? Will we land a monster class, or be utterly disappointed? Such is the life of an Illini fan.

I saw that but didn't know we were recruiting anyone from Wichita. I see Malik Hall in 2019, I suppose, but 2019 recruits don't get me as excited as 2018 recruits no matter who they are.

When the product on the court is weak it is difficult to sell. Other schools are destinations for players, Illinois hasn't been for a long time.

Nowhere yet, but almost immediately headed to Connecticut. I'm clearly not connecting the dots. Also, that's an odd route to CT.

I agree, unless he was picking up one of the assistants. Not sure what's in CT., other than a Dimon Carrigan. As originally stated I don't think BU is in Florida.
LOL, this Cubs/Cards game is boring. Going to work on my seat location for NLDS.

Breaking: I will be announcing 2018 Colin Castleton’s college choice sometime next week or weekend.

I know I am a pessimist but the timing sounds like UM to me. Hope I am wrong!
You really do have to be a pessimist to hear that our assistant, one of the closest of any coaches in the nation to Castleton visited tonight, then hear he will announce next week, and take that as a bad sign.

He more or less officially committed tonight, which is what he had actually already done with the staff in the previous home.

As I've been saying on this board, going to be very interesting to see what happens with Conditt. They wanted Castleton to commit first and theyre likely tonight get their wish.

Huh? OA visits and a commitment date is announced the same night? How can that be anything but good signs?

We have been on full court press for CC , just because nothing official doesn't mean anything. With OA being there I think we have good chance as UM, they got there big fish last week. We need to seal deal with CC. We have done all we can.:illinois:

I hope you either know something or are a very good educated (or not) guesser, because I am absolutely chomping at the bit for some good hoops recruiting news.

Cuonzo Martin says hello.....

I'm going to just go on what I believe here. I have ZERO insider information. But I think UI said No to Cuonzo, not the other way around

A number of sources reported that we didn't have to say no. We simply never offered him the job.
