Just for fun, let's list the Top 50 in-state recruits of recent vintage who were never rumored on this board to be signed, sealed delivered to Illinois.

Jahlil Okafor and Jabari Parker spring to mind. Charles Matthews. Was Sam Thompson top 50? We were never really in it with him.

It's a short list, is my point. Cliff Alexander is the modal outcome for an elite in-state recruit's relationship with U of I.

EJ and Keith Randolph are close friends (both go to Belleville West). Keith wants to play football here and EJ and Keith want to go to college together...

Reports were that Mario committed during his visit to Missouri but wanted to wait to announce it for unknown reasons.

Quite a few more: Tyler Ulis, Wayne Blackshear, Anthony Davis, and Bobby Frasor (although I thought he was very overrated). All ended up McD AAs but we were never really anywhere close to leading with any of them.

I'll add one more, although we are going back a little further. Although close friends and teammates with Dee Brown, it was well known that Shannon Brown wanted to go somewhere else for college and not end up under Dee's shadow in college.

MizNoz might not be willing to wait for Mario without EJ was the point. Outside of Mizzery, only Kansas St and Auburn offered outside of 2018, back in 2016....outside of Mizzery, ALL the other offers have a bunch of PG/CG that they are recruiting. IF, he was being looked at as a pawn if you will to help lure EJ and now EJ is coming here, he might want to jump on the Mizzery offer, being they are recruiting less at the position and he is now without the running mate that they really coveted.

Do you mean because Cliff's girlfriend at the time played for Kansas and that male/female hoops package deals are so hot right now?

Yes but we are not talking about Kentucky or Duke for Mario McKinney to be looked as pawn. Mario is a good player and a player that Missouri needs, so his offers are not going away anytime soon.

Don't know how long but apparently it starts at 3 so you might catch some of it. I don't know what the encore session is

I do not know about this particular one, but they usually run about 90 minutes. So you will be able to catch at least the last 30 mins or so.
