Glad to hear we have strong representation from the QC’s, I from Moline. People out here on the East Coast think it’s funny I went to John Deere Jr. High. My daughters always want to visit to hit Whitey’s and Harris Pizza.

Well, back to BBall...let’s not forget Maroon great Steve Kuberski!
Who played on the same Celtics' NBA championship team with Rock Island great Don Nelson.

Someone just removed their SLU crystal ball. Still makes me nervous about the uncertainity.

He was also an Illini great until he was caught up in the slush fund. Then he became a Bradley great.

DP is that you? 👀

Lol jk Stu! But no you’re right, Snow just rubbed me the wrong way with the Jones thing, almost like he was toying with us! Something I’ve felt he’s done in the past before...

I believe it was the day Snow put his crystal ball pick in for The Beloved, that all the rumors started flyin in that Jones is headed to DePaul

but then again, who really even saw that coming? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Snow lives in Indy and writes a lot of IU related articles. He is not an Illini fan.

I'm puzzled. He went 16-16 in the shooting section, showing great range and hitting shots from all over the court, and Ant graded him out as a B+.

This is probably a little strong, but my Illini comp is Nick Anderson.
His size and athleticism reminds me of Jerry Hester. I can’t come up with an Illini comp for his shooting though. His jump shot is a thing of beauty. I know it’s late, but it has a Jordanesque quality to it. He has the potential to be very special.

Is Nesbitt supposed to announce his school of choice on Oct. 1.....or am I thinking of someone else??

Former Michigan Wolverine Ant Wright had a nice Breakdown of Jordan Nesbitt.

Awful lot to like there, but one of the things I really like is the way he attacks. If you go back a ways to Groce, and even Weber, they preached to their players about attacking the basket, but really struggled to get players that were comfortable doing so. There were even players that came in as attackers that seemed to lose confidence with when they were green-lighted.

Underwood is on the other end of the spectrum. He seems to really value guys who will mix it up and attack. Feliz and Ayo have been good examples, but I think it goes deeper into how they teach and give guys a better, longer leash.

I LOVE watching relentless, attacking, Illini basketball where you wear down the other team, or put them in the unenviable position of key players getting into foul trouble. That's one of the things I've really enjoyed about Underwood and his staff, is how they've transformed our style of play. Seems like we're valuing a different type of player, and developing those skills more. Crossing my fingers that the Nesbitt recruitment ends with an :illinois: do!

Seems like a lot of frosh don’t have the strength to do it in the BIG. They need the weight training and maturity and sometimes build (don’t believe Trent can ever get there due to his body type) and get stuffed and lose their confidence. Nesbitt looks like he has the size and strength as well as the will but much more difficult to finish in the BIG. His athleticism will also be a big advantage. Certainly not much to dislike in the evaluation or the highlights. Believe he can be a rotational player as a frosh.

As in FLYIN’ Illini, QC?

🤷🏽‍♂️

Who really knows at this point. Not cutting his list and announcing it does seem like an aggressive move however, and has everyone off guard as to what is next...

Obviously Kentucky has been the clear front runner hear for quite some time. But Illinois is in a strong position, and I have reason to believe it’s getting stronger💪🏽

The staff really seems to be taking an aggressive approach at this present time and are seizing on their top ten pre-season success. It is my understanding that they are wanting to capture as much of it as they can right now before their focus shifts primarily to this current team fully, and this ever important upcoming year.

So I’m not saying today’s developments were or were not in our favor, only time will tell...

But what I do know is regardless, next week is gonna be one hell
Of
A
Week ‼
😎
