If I had to guess, they might be generally unhappy about a non-Chicago kid (Belo) getting more of a spotlight than a Chicago one (AM). It's not necessarily logical. It probably also doesn't take into account the fact that there's only so much the staff can do to highlight a particular player and actual play on the court ultimately determines who gets local and national attention.
If I had to guess further, there might have been an explicit or unstated expectation that Miller would be groomed as the face of the program following Ayo (especially with Chin on our staff). That's clearly what's best for MIF. Now that it seems unlikely to happen, MIF might feel like we didn't keep up our end of the bargain. Again, not necessarily entirely logical or reasonable, but certainly understandable from their perspective.
