I have no impulse control whatsoever when it comes to our recruitment of Reggie Bass.

Did anyone ever ask Reggie how he pronounced his last name ?????

Schutt is pronounced shoot....
Bass might be like a bass guitar......

It's not like Loyalty to NOT be inquisitive about this .....

Your point is well taken, pruman my brother. However, please do not spoil our "pun fun" by introducing reality.

EDIT: As for your speculation about the pronunciation of Reggie's surname, I cling to my belief that it's bass-less. Regarding Jaden, well, Schutt. And darn.

I put up a high-voltage electric fence around my house. My neighbor is dead against it.

I got fired from the calendar factory, just for taking a day off.

Did you hear about the silk worm race? It ended in a tie.

I went to a new mechanic. They came highly wreck-a-mended.

If the staff makes a break from Bass it would be hard to keep preaching family. A family helps each other grow, and if the staff bails now, it would be well known in the player's circle.

Sometimes an honest conversation can be good for both parties.

They preach family once you're on the team, but you've got to earn it. The staff is in the business of winning basketball games, not running a boarding school for troubled youth.

I have no idea if the Bass rumors are true. I hope they're not. But if they are, I am fine if the staff wants to cut ties if they think it willi be a detriment to the rest of the family. Full stop.

I'm sure its in here somewhere, but what are the rumors around Reggie Bass that would make the staff pull his offer?

It was posted that he struggles to control his frustrations on the court, and it spills out onto the team culture.

I cant give you specifics, but essentially over the top yelling at AAU teamates, not sure if this included any coaches.

interesting discussion. wondering if others here would feel the same about possibly "cutting ties" if it was Epps that was yelling at teammates

Guessing that the majority wouldn't. Let's face it, higher ranked kids get more latitude. Another factor is Harris (in the fold). If we only had Epps, there'd be a lot less rumbling about Bass.

Yes. Ultimately, team culture is as important as individual skill levels. If the coaching staff determined that Epps was a toxic teammate and that it wasn't worth having him around, I'd 100% support them cutting ties. I trust them to know better than me what it takes to build a winning program.

It has been hinted that there are additional off the court issues on top of the yelling/attitude on the court problems

I probably wouldn't mind if Epps did it. Life isn't fair sometimes. Leverage matters.

If you're at a higher level then its potentially worth the headache like someone such as TyTy would have been. If you're a headache and most likely not expected to contribute for a couple years?

is some new(er) development with Bass' attitude? the staff should have known about any on court issues before offering.

Staff knows a boatload more than the fanbase. Our staff has provided little reason to doubt their decisions. If they want Bass, they'll take him. And, FWLIW, we should be fine with that.

That said, if we get another guard, the writing is on the wall. Also, if it's true that we haven't had a presence at any of his later games (save for Epps' team), that may be a tell.
