Question for you. We've offered tons of recruits. According to the scholarship grid done by @BMoreIllini (great work by the way!), we've made over 50 offers for the 2022 cycle. Way more than we have scholarships. Are you going to post "Illinois goes down in flames" or the like for every recruit that goes elsewhere? You do understand that, mathematically, we're only going to land like one-in-ten out of these recruits, right?

Thats he first time I did the AC/DC (whom I saw at old W Sox park about 1977/warmup for Aerosmith) saying. Never did it before. I was listening to AC/DC and that song was playing.

+1 on the scholarship grid, and you're right --many posters seem to overstate the negative aspects of how the process normally plays out. It's not like there are 50 offers, first come first severed, and whoever says yes gets one. If 5 point guards all said they want to come here, staff wouldn't take all of them. Skill set, etc., creat priority, which means some guys will eliminate others, or cause staff to cool on them. That said, when a coveted recruit says they're headed elsewhere, there's no avoiding that's a downer.

It's not that Oregon high schools don't take Math and Reading, it's just that they don't test for results of what they have or haven't learned.

I think we only have 1 in 25 scholarships available for 2022. Or is it 1 in 50?

Yeah, I meant as a proportion of total offers vs. total signed players. I've seen speculation we will have a 5-6 man class. Obviously we've already filled 3 of those spots. A number of those 50+ offers have also already committed elsewhere, or put us out of the running.
