I don't know but they both have offers from Bradley and Wake Forest. Kock also has an Iowa offer. For those who know, how good are Cooper Koch and Lathan Somerville? Any Illini mutual interest with these Peoria legacy names?
Those are dangerous games. That and I'd take as many tall shooters with adequate athleticism as I could get. Also, I think Indrusaitis has a more well rounded game. Thomas will likely be a specialist at the next level, but one of the most important specialists on a team.Is Nojus Indrusaitis’ (‘24) position and skill set the same as Asa Thomas (‘23)? If so, would Illinois’ likely not be interested if they got a commitment from Thomas?
A Sean Harrington, Corey Bradford, Plummer type of specialist? Those are dangerous games. That and I'd take as many tall shooters with adequate athleticism as I could get. A much, much taller version. More versatile too: a guy who can get some boards and brings more offensively than just bombs (Harrington, not Plummer & Bradford).A Sean Harrington, Corey Bradford, Plummer type of specialist?
A Sean Harrington type player would be my guess.A Sean Harrington, Corey Bradford, Plummer type of specialist?
I think Koch has an Illini offer as well (at least according to his Twitter). I saw Alexander at one of his Plano Christmas tournament games. I'm assuming he'll eventually have offers from most of the Big 10. He's really skilled and definitely doesn't play like a Sophomore. For those who know, how good are Cooper Koch and Lathan Somerville? I never considered Harrington for much than a spot shooter. Not in the same league as Plummer and Bradford in terms of scoring. Really didn't do much else. Am I missing something about his passing or rebounding?A much, much taller version. It was suggested by a reliable source that Fears expects to start. The starting spot is incorrect, that's nothing more than message board fodder,
The common wisdom here is that Chin may have promised Miller he'd start.Adam Miller? Starting wasn’t the issue. It was his usage in game that everybody was talking about being the issue
The story came from a reliable source that he was ready to commit, but UI was not ready to accept the commitment. Dai Dai Ames and of course Kylan Boswell are currently higher priorities at the same position in the same class. The rumor that we have “cooled” on Jeremy Fears because of his size/shooting combo is comical to me. You shouldn’t have any hesitation welcoming in a top 30 player that has clear interest. Especially at the most important position of PG. That’s just me…
I'd imagine Koch will want to go to his dad's alma mater.I think Koch has an Illini offer as well (at least according to his Twitter). I saw Alexander at one of his Plano Christmas tournament games. Both parents attended Iowa.I'd imagine Koch will want to go to his dad's alma mater.

Based on that, the kid won't be able to clear UI admissions department.
Is Ty Pence in the conversation at all? Those are dangerous games. That and I'd take as many tall shooters with adequate athleticism as I could get. Not in my conversation. Of course I've never met anyone on the staff, but if they ask me, I'll tell them to pass.Is Ty Pence in the conversation at all?
He certainly may. His parents seem to be letting the process run its course. Of course being only a soph he hasn't taken any officials but he seems to be making his way through all the midwest schools on his unofficials.I'd imagine Koch will want to go to his dad's alma mater.
