We didn't offer him. He was not highly rated out of HS. Looks like his biggest offer was SLU other than that all low majors. He's having a breakout year though.Nice looking player 20 ppg 37% from 3. Did we ever recruit him? Been a while since we got somebody from Simeon. Kendrick was last one I remember.

Those who have fulfilled their four years may be more likely. Fifth year covid transfers looking for a winning program on a big stage, with scouts at every game, and would probably start, imho. While I agree, it's worth noting that just about every player with eligibility "might" transfer next year.
Is that like Serbia and Croatia?Maybe it helps having 3 neighbors (PR) playing already for us.
But he always starts his move with a bad upfake...Hawkins should drive to the hoop and try to dunk the ball. Worst case he gets free throws. He has a good first step for a big guy.

I expected more from Hawkins.
He needs to have an idea of what he's going to do when he makes a move - option a and b and maybe c. That's why I say "playing relaxed" is not the prescription for him. He needs to play focused. Don't just put the ball on the floor cause you're comfortable putting in on the floor. Put it on the floor with a purpose. If you don't know what you're going to do, don't start dribbling. That's for guards at the top of the key.But he always starts his move with a bad upfake...
Who among these guys can play D?
Ayo on the bulls, I’ve watched a lot of NBA. The good teams do play good defense. I’ve noticed defending the high pick and roll is the biggest challenge (something the Bulls struggle with). The less these guys play D, the more ready they are for today’s NBA. Routine scores in the 130s and 140s. Halftime scores in the 70s and 80s.
Defense in the NBA is so... yesterday.
When many guys leave now from College Ball, they leave their D cred behind along with their college memories. If they had any D cred in the first place.
Good D is a beautiful thing. It makes the scoring of a hoop something of value. And it’s a joy to watch Scorers get so frustrated when someone is on them like a glove.
The College Game still values D. The NBA... not so much any more.

OA isn’t the only one. I was on a cruise that stopped in the DR once about 20 years ago.All true, but...OA is gone now. Not saying that's a show stopper, but OA was the guy with Jones (both from DR).
Most definitely an athletic talent. Looks like his hoopin' skills have advanced too.
Agreed. I used to think there was no defense in the NBA, but that was out of ignorance and I've watch the Bulls all season this year due to Ayo.Ayo on the bulls, I’ve watched a lot of NBA. WTH? Hope the kid is ok.
I wouldn’t want either.Courtney Ramey? Landers Nolley?
Yeah, but I looked for WhiteHorse Wings on 247 and you have not been the lead recruiter on anyone decent, so …OA isn’t the only one. I was on a cruise that stopped in the DR once about 20 years ago.
We’re in

And the rules prevent you from playing traditional defensive principles on top of enforcing freedom of movement. This is honestly a pretty laughable take. NBA defense is really good its just the offense is so much better. As we say with Ivey good offense beats good defense. Every player in the NBA can make shots with a hand in their face and they have more room to operate than in college.
No bueno. Looked like an ankle.
he came back in the gameNo bueno. Looked like an ankle.
