The dream is always to get drafted but his draft stock will never be high enough to end up on a team with the best fit. He needs to go undrafted and find a team that best suits his current strengths and not force him to work on something he may never be.
No one's forcing Kofi to do anything. I'm sure he is choosing to work on the parts of his game based on the feedback he gets from teams. Also if his draft stock isn't high enough then he is much less likely to make a team or get paid nearly as well. The dream is to get rich playing basketball. Fir Kofi with the NIL most likely that place is in college and develop while doing so. This is a good way to get as much as he can by putting boosters in freak mode!

Thanks, exciting times for you and your 3 year old. It says 10 years for you on here in October. We will need your St Rita updates this fall. They are top 25 in the nation and playing a more national schedule. Hearing good things about James Brown and Nojus. Go Illini
You got it. I was front row at their last game sitting next to my boy who got inducted to the wall of fame. I plan to be there alot. Rita gonna be real good.

To no one's surprise.....Hopkins is down to 3....Providence, DePaul and Illinois
What do you think TC? His dad mentioned that they should have took Illinois more seriously the first time around. He shoulda committed then. I remember them being down to Illinois, Kentucky & maybe a third school. I would pass unless someone else leaves the current roster. We already have an incoming forward that in not a great shooter (Ty) & a soon to be up & down junior(Hawkins).

a lot will depend on Kofi along with Hopkin's expectations in terms of playing time.

Meanstreets has some serious ballers! Does anyone know why we didn't or missed out on the 6.9 center from Glennbard West, whose heading to Wisconsin? Kid can drain 3, runs floor good, and awesome passer.

Which Glenbard West kid committed to Wisconsin? None that I am aware of.

Not a lot is accurate with this post. Glenbard West did not have any kids that played for MeanStreets. They did have Braden Huff who is 6-11 and going to Gonzaga. He does have the skills that your described. By all accounts Illinois was a little later on him then some of the Big 10 but once Gonzaga offered it was over. He will be a very good player for them.

Do you mean Braden Huff? He’s going to Gonzaga. I’m guessing we just got beaten out by a good program. I honestly don’t recall us being much in the mix for him.

Every recruiting service I've seen has him at 6'9" (not that that means he hasn't grown recently)

This is accurate. My understanding is that the prior assistants were were not as high on him, but when the new staff came I. They made a push for him. His final two seem to be Gonzaga and Va Tech - which makes sense for the push when CF came on board. Think we were too late in the game. He’s going to be a good one - think his rating is way off what it should be. Will be interested to see how he develops.
