Is it though? We landed the Brothers Clark this month. We are the only team with two 2024 (potential 2023 reclasses) commits presently.

If we have learned anything from the transfer portal era, it moves fast and violently. Whiplash is a concern for a lot of posters.

It has certainly made the offseason much less of a bore. BU said there were 1,300 names in the portal yesterday and a few weeks ago it was at 900.

Every time a player enters the portal, a different player gets deposited to a DII, DIII or NAIA campus somewhere.

If you've seen moneyball, they have a scene about this. They couldn't replace Jason giambi, but you may be able to replace a lot of what he brings by different people contributing different things. We should have better passing and possibly pick and roll defense from those playing center this year, for example. But yes, of course fewer post moves leading to dunks or fouls.

You can say the same thing about Skyy and ZZ and look what happened. You may want to watch what your saying here.
Or what? hahaha this is a thread solely based on recruitment talk. I hope they land them both but they most likely wont land either (unfortunately.) Your reply having no context is hilarious though.

hawkins and nance at the 4/5 would be a matchup problem for a lot of teams. i like your break down of hypothetical minutes
Except Hawkins hasn't shown he can score in the low post over defenders other than rebound tip ins or dunks. Has no back down or face up game in the paint.

but Nance can play with his back to the basket

Good thing there’s no rule requiring we need to run post-ups for him then! Use him in PnRs with skyy as a lob threat or spacing out in pick and pops, let him roam, run the floor in transition. We’re gonna see a much more modern, less post-heavy offense with Kofi gone.

If we could have Bates now seems crazy that you wouldn't say yes. Even with the extra curriculars involved. Guy was thought of as the best player in all of HS as a soph and if he turns into a success story, could be helpful with future top prospects

The fact that even Izzo didn’t want to keep him as a commit should raise all the red flags.
