Not saying Coleman is leaving if we get anyone but more so just a statement on how college basketball is now a days….players are going to leave every year. I also don’t get all the love for Coleman…..not just from you but from a lot of fans

After the first 3 games of the season there were some are we going to lose Hawkins to the draft posts. That was fun.

That would have been awesome. It would have meant he averaged about 17 points, eight boards, four assists, shot well, and played great defense. And we would have had more people to point to in the NBA. And, of course, great for Coleman. Losing a great player to the NBA is rough, but it's also a good thing for the program as a whole.

See more of a Flying Illini team than the 2004-5 team. Very athletic with size at all positions. However the defense is going to be completely different without Kofi. Really think defensive capability might override three point shooting ability. Offensively Kofi, Trent, and DMW can be replaced but can they be replaced defensively. Certainly have the athletic ability but do they have the will and IQ? Hawk has proven it and Ty shows it on his clips but who else will show up? They will make the rotation.
