Kentucky wanted him and Illinois didn't really try and keep him.
Kentucky wanted him and Illinois didn't really try and keep him.
That doesn't answer my question. Why wouldn’t he? He’s a junior age wise. Has experience playing off the ball. Played in big moments and won at a high level. Tough as nails defender as well.
We’ll then … UNC it is!Only true if the program he transfers to offers a degree he can't get at his current school, I believe.
Rumors on this board were that we came over the top with an offer to keep him?Kentucky wanted him and Illinois didn't really try and keep him.
Just say Illini and a bunch of others and wait until he announces. No new news here.
Has MIF tried souring Ayo’s relationship with the school and program? The Irvin’s just seem like uncontrollable babies. Nothing surprises me anymore, but I get so disappointed in these AAU programs and one sided they see everything. Singular focus should be on all of the kids in all of AAU programs, not just the adults in your program and your name.Kentucky wanted him and Illinois didn't really try and keep him.
IC. Plain and simple. I think Kentucky helped us out there.Kentucky wanted him and Illinois didn't really try and keep him.
Don't believe so. My recollection is that all the negotiating was about Antigua. I think Chin was an afterthought for both schools probably.Rumors on this board were that we came over the top with an offer to keep him?
Answer depends on whether that effort was to keep Chin along or as part of OA-Chin tandem.Rumors on this board were that we came over the top with an offer to keep him?
Who is OA?Answer depends on whether that effort was to keep Chin along or as part of OA-Chin tandem.
Tried to keep OA, offered OA 900k+ if you keep OA then Chin probably stays too.Rumors on this board were that we came over the top with an offer to keep him?
Ayo and the School/ Brad and basketball program are great. Wouldn't worry about the Irvins messing with that.Has MIF tried souring Ayo’s relationship with the school and program? The Irvin’s just seem like uncontrollable babies. Nothing surprises me anymore, but I get so disappointed in these AAU programs and one sided they see everything. Singular focus should be on all of the kids in all of AAU programs, not just the adults in your program and your name.
Dan will never ban you. Half of the traffic of this board is to read your posts.I'm prepared to get banned from the board today.....lol
Unless you really think Miami alum have money burning a hole in their pockets, I think there’s a direct comparison to saying they’re more invested than ours if you think they’re outspending us. I think there’s a direct relationship with passion and investment into a program and while there might be some heavy hitters skewing that, I’d wager we stack up well.Well, you're putting words in my mouth. I never said their alumni were more invested in BB than we are. My point is that their alumni overall are probably giving more than ours.
I don't think the Pack deal was a good deal and never said so.
I don't know what your definition of "good money" is, but Kofi, Curbelo, and Damonte were the only notable ad campaigns. It's very unclear how much we can put forward in NIL money. And it's unclear how we'll stack up with others.
Our alumni base definitely has the cash. I haven't seen much evidence of it being spent.
Well now I almost want to test it.....lolDan will never ban you. Half of the traffic of this board is to read your posts.
You’re almost untouchable
As a professional button pusherWell now I almost want to test it.....lol
I have no idea if BU is actually pursing him or not. But I think it would be foolish not too. That doesn't answer my question.
Why would he? We've had Miller once and he played scared on offense, despite the fact BU started him about every game. Furthermore, I think Miller is rehabbing from serious knee surgery. And yes, I'm aware of Skyy Clark's knee surgery. Maybe Miller is a head case.Do we even know if Underwood WANTS Miller back?
This from the news-gazette article: "The math works pretty easy. If you had 1,000 donors — basketball fans — give $50 a month that’s $5,000 a month that could go to the basketball program.”I thought I saw an article that said entire Illinois athletic program had couple hundred thousand in NIL last year but I cant find it. Only $ amount is $65k for campus ink t-shirts. I don't know how much Kofi got for OSF health care and TCCI mfg. These just don't seem to be type of companies that would be making 7 figure payouts to recruits/ahtletes.
You would need billionaires alums to step forward like - Tom Siebel, Larry Ellison, Shahid Kahn (owns Panthers) , Marc Andreesen, Martin Eberhard (Tesla cofounder). Jon Corzine (Goldman Sachs) Jeremy Stoppelman (YELP founder)
Kofi's decision and impact of Illini Guardians
Kofi Cockburn's decision about his basketball future is anything but simplewww.news-gazette.com
Well now I almost want to test it.....lol
Played scared? He was our leading scorer setting a freshman first game record. He started every game on a #1 seed too as a freshman. Plus also maybe he is not a head case? What do you base that statement on? I don't know him personally but I know some from here in Peoria that do and they say he is a good young man trying to make his mom happy. Maybe he left to make others happy. People make mistakes and sometimes deserve second chances. Just because someone left doesn't mean they have personal issues. If BU wants him back I'd for one would think he could have a big impact. Why would he? We've had Miller once and he played scared on offense, despite the fact BU started him about every game. Furthermore, I think Miller is rehabbing from serious knee surgery. And yes, I'm aware of Skyy Clark's knee surgery. Maybe Miller is a head case.
And it shows, because this was a gross misuse of the word "exponential."Don't believe so. My recollection is that all the negotiating was about Antigua. I think Chin was an afterthought for both schools probably.
I'm not a math major, so I can't properly express the exponential value of Tim Anderson over Chin.
LOL.And it shows, because this was a gross misuse of the word "exponential."
