What glad tidings hath the basketball gods brought today? And I have a 2-part question: Can Kofi, Grandison and Hutch return to the Illini if they change their mind by June 1? And if so, will they just have to hope a scholarship roster spot is still open? Can somebody help me out here? Thanks.

Kofi can't return as he's declared for the draft for a third time. Grandison and Hutch can return if offered a spot. We currently have 4 spots open (not counting Grandison and Hutch) with BBV going into the portal

Kofi has declared himself eligible for the draft for a 3rd time, so he is no longer eligible to play NCAA ball. The other two still have eligibility, so in theory they could return.

I'm not sure why people are pretending Wischnowsky has any insight. He's a guy on Twitter who makes everything about himself and pretends he's a big deal. That's it. He's reading Tweets just like everyone else.
It’s not like it’s a fake account, he has actual followers. He is a journalist and likely has some connections to our program. Wischnowski may or may not be accurate in his prediction, but he’s not “reading tweets just like everyone else.”

I've heard the NCAA rules committee is meeting to change that rule to allow Kofi to come back. After passing 7 different rules after the fact in response to Illinois screwings, they decided they owed us one.

Unfortunately, it will go into effect next year.
