So I work with a walmart wolverine and he stated that Michigan only take grad transfers because of their admissions. Therefore, TT coach not signing off on summer classes for TSJ would mean he has not graduated and would not be admitted into UM. Does anyone know if this makes sense?? Side note, he also says their insiders say Bates to UM as well.

Thanks! That helps a lot to understand the logic (whether Dickinson's claim is true or not). I was wondering how Adams not signing off on summer classes could be true as TSJ still transferred to Illinois.

Hunter Dickinson continues to prove what an idiot he is.

Texas Tech isn't going to pay for a guy to attend classes over the Summer so he can grad transfer and go play somewhere else next season. THAT. IS. NOT. A. THING.

Michigan's admission office is draconian in allowing credits to transfer over. So TSJ would have basically lost all his credits and been a Freshman again at Michigan. This HAS been an issue for Illinois in the past, but Whitman likely was able to get a waiver and common sense prevailed at Illinois. It's Michigan's fault here with their transfer policy at their Admissions Office. This is not Texas Tech's fault at all.

Some of ya'll gotta stop trying to fit everyone into traditional 1-5 roles. It's not 1987 anymore.
Lol...the Flying Illini if the late 80s switched and we're the most interchangable switching line up we ever had.
Also when Edey and other big guys come at us we will need a true 5 man. The game has changed but we do need a true big and the Flying Illini team was the most switchable team we ever had.

Sorry...I'm trying to catch up...and the snippets from this board are piecing together very chaotically in my head (not unusual as an ever aging Illini fan)...

Someone pls confirm the following:

1. Nance is transferring to Illinois
2. Shannon is transferring to Illinois
3. Shannon would have gone to Mich, but TT coach Adams didn't approve summer school, which was required by Michigan for him to transfer. Illinois gets him, because apparently we have difft/lesser requirements and dont require summer school at TT for him. Dickinson thinks coach Adam's is killing Shannon's real dream of being a wolverine by not approving summer school
