Apparently Mccullar is ranked as the 2nd best guy in the portal right now according to evanmiya.com
Cant see him coming if not getting a starting role which means RJ is sitting or potentially Sky if hes able to play point. Tough internal conversations/decisions to have but hard to say no to a starter from Sweet 16 team that much proven production and defense prowess.

Good lord, that would almost be too many new faces to process. I'm glad we got to see Grandison and BBV have shining moments before they turned into distant memories.

I'm still a bit surprised that Nance isn't showing up on draft boards.

Honestly I’m not sure how interested we are in Mcullers, he just wants to play with TSJ
I was trying to figure out why we need Mcullers. I don't really know his game but don't like his stats. I guess I am OK if he is willing to back up.

Insiders can tell me I'm wrong and I'll accept that, but I think the starting lineup would/could be Skyy, McCullar, RJ, TSJ, and Dainja/Nance if he transfers here.

Staff hasn't reciprocated the interest with McCullar yet. Pretty sure they like him but think there could be someone else they want more. McCullar wants to be here, no doubt on that

RJ out. 2 out of nance dainja Hawkins.

I'm probably wrong but I feel better about our two headed freshman point guard monster knowing a more experienced guy like Shannon is out there with them.

If McCullar comes in, who will start at the beginning of the season?
Zero way to know that. Promises can't be made and don't need to be made. Teams need a ton of practice to learn to play defense together, and few people on this roster have even met each other before.

There are lots of games before the real season starts. I fully expect to see guys challenging for starting roles well past December.

I guess I am OK with McCullar if he know he might back up. Or maybe we do the TTU way everyone 20-25 min? It is going to an interesting season. My concern for McCullar is I am afraid he takes away too many minutes from more talented players because he is a better defender. But I am OK since he can play PG and not a poor scorer.

Chuck Nuggets

Dip your nuggets in my staff source sauce.
I would not be surprised if Underwood is playing this portal thing as strategically as he possibly can. He's not going to risk running anyone else off at this point by adding someone who might take some of their minutes. He's going to wait until they can no longer enter the portal. He has said if anyone doesn't want to be here, or is scared off by other players, then they should leave, or at least something to that effect. But he's also smart and knows kids aren't always going to make great decisions. This is all conjecture. I am making assumptions.
