Speculating a bit, but I have a feeling we land Nance. If so, I see lineups as:

Skyy, TSJ, RJ, Hawk, Nance

Should landing Nance cause Hawk to transfer:

Skyy, Goode, TSJ, RJ, Nance

against bigger lineups:

Skyy, TSJ, RJ, Nance, Dain

We would need to add another big if Hawk moves on & depending on talent, that player could start …

This DOES leave a lot of opportunity for our ‘22 class to contribute significant minutes and grow; hopefully keeping them all happy. But either scenario, I think we need an experienced G to help the growth of our youngsters. Im not as concerned w/ min - if Epps and Rodgers are as good as they look on film, that experienced G may not see much time; so one who with high bball IQ and is 100% “team first”

I watched some of his games at Elevation Prep on Youtube. I've never seen worse basketball. 1 on 4 pretty much every play. Reggie barely broke a jog, barely a walk actually. Worst effort I'd ever seen. Once he got the ball he would bust it and had some skill, but if he didn't have the ball he would just stand at the 3 point line. Never made an attempt at a rebound, never even hinted at defense. I was shocked we offered him let alone accepted a commitment.
It is WILD how many kids in HS don't realize that their bread and butter as a future basketball player is going to be made by what they do when they do NOT have the ball. So many kids out there that can score at a pretty good clip, but their basketball career completely fizzles out because they don't dedicate themselves on the defensive end, becoming tenacious rebounders, screening, cutting, etc. There's only one ball and a lot of great players out there! I think of all our random 4 star recruits from the late Weber/Groce era that only moderately or didn't at all pan out, so many guys in the same mold as each other, if they didn't have the ball and were trying to score, they were just useless, and they weren't good enough to be able to score with consistent efficiency day in and out.

Please tell me you're not serious ... Some of these takes on here make me reluctant to even log on every day...

It was reported that Co Hawk was nervous about how he would fit in if ILL brings in a transfer (Nance). He had a meeting with the coaches and was assured he wouldn't get pushed out of the way. This is why he didn't enter the portal. He already knows they are recruiting guys in his position.
He'll stay, he wants to be here.

That makes a lot of sense. CH was a bit nervous IMO during the Spring interview. So he wanted to be here but just needed some assurance. I would not let CH go if I were the coaches. I don't know when/if he will put it together but he has a relatively high ceiling.

I am pretty sure that starting lineup will include 5 players . Other than that no one knows at this time
I don’t think there is an alternate reality in which TSJ & RJ aren’t on the court when the season tips off. (Barring injury)

A-E suggests heightened importance of one over another. How about red, orange, yellow, green, blue? /s
I don't think so. red, yellow, and blue are primary colors which still suggest heightened importance. how about lamp, shingle, stair, bucket, and wheel?
