umm, cool, Dior would add some high talent depth at guard and maybe some hands d'or, but I think I'm developing a "what if Dainja or CoHawk get injured/foul out/suspended?" related ulcer
Maybe Brad isn't interested in rolling over a scholarship if he can land Dior. My hunch is he'd gladly take Butz and Dior and call it a day--if that's possible. I'm not sold that it is. Crazy stuff.

Same here. I’m willing to roll the dice on Skyy and Epps. If one of them misses time, guards are generally able to log lots of minutes (35+) better than big guys. OTOH If one of Hawk/Dain misses time, the other ain’t playing 35 mpg (especially Dain). Right now our third Big is Mayer and that’s not ideal.

This^^

Why wait to get a guy that is probably less talented than Dior and potentially has to sit out for the rest of the year when you can have him now and play him?

I'll take the inside info but the 10 different high schools has me a bit concerned.
However... In Brad We Trust

Im sorry but I would stay as far away from Dior as possible. I know he’s talented but just doesn’t have the track record that we want to deal with on this team

I don't even know what this means.
It means he’s talented but he’s been to 10 (11 different transfers) high schools. Already decommitted from 2 colleges without even enrolling in one. There’s a track record and why take on the headache for someone who probably won’t start then will be an issue? And as we saw with Oregon where he wouldn’t start he’s going to leave right away

well he attended 10 high schools. He apparently is not interested in working through any level of adversity.

I just don't see where he fits. He is a 2nd Skyy. If we bring in 2 Skyy's then who sits? Do we not play a 5 at all? Where is the team long term if Dior takes RJ's minutes, RJ transfers and then Dior leaves at the end of the year too. He certainly has a reputation for being on the move.

He apparently knows he isn't liked considering he has Most Hated tattooed on his calves. If I'm Brad, I'm saying no potential chemistry issues, find me a C.

Just think aloud, to understand

Why would that be a problem? IF he remains on the team then (hopefully) it will be because he is a *great* teammate. And, if he decides to enter the portal, then we are where we are. Win-win for both I would think. It is not that we NEED him, no urgency.

And, frankly, one year of Fletch, *I would think* would only benefit the kid, not to speak of other benefits he would have.

Could potentially ruin an entire season with one bad kid. If one kid is bad and sticks to himself then transfers then no harm. If he influences others negatively then who knows how it ends up. Not worth it.
Emoni Bates had a historic amount of talent and every single Memphis fan would tell you it was not worth bringing him in. Stick to high character guys.

Normally, I am all for stacking as much talent as possible. Here would be one situation where I just don't know. It's honestly flabergasting to think of someone managing 10 separate schools in 4 years. But hey, I trust BU to ask the right questions. And there would need to be a lot of questions answered correctly. Admittedly, even if he did commit and sign, till he's actually on the court, I'd be hard-pressed to believe he'll show. Even then, I'd be holding my breath come January, just in case he figures it's a good time to bolt again.

I feel bad about my preconceived notions when it comes to him. I hope he proves me wrong and manages to have a fantastic college career for however long it lasts.
