I thought that was Chester with a fake mustache for a second, lol.Oh man we could hook him up with Perrin. They could talk about cravats, and french fries, and the best way to surrender to Germans.

I think Leron Black is a more accurate comp for Hansberry. Amani is more polished with his handling/play-making ability I thinkEJ was a much better athlete coming out of high school, but games are similar-yes.
I’ll take it to my grave the 20-21 Illini were an EJ Liddell away from winning a championship, Loyola game be damned. He was a big miss.

I don’t think he was a miss. He didn’t want to come to Illinois.EJ was a much better athlete coming out of high school, but games are similar-yes.

I think his motor is what separates him into a different category.I think Leron Black is a more accurate comp for Hansberry. Amani is more polished with his handling/play-making ability I think

We went all in trying to get him. I don’t see how you can call it anything else. I think his biggest reason for not coming was we didn’t have a 5 and he didn’t want to be that guy. (Plus, remember the famous line about still getting to know Underwood right before he committed to OSU, which preceded the “Underwood doesn’t talk to recruits” discussion.)I don’t think he was a miss. He didn’t want to come to Illinois.

I agree with your point wholeheartedly, but will nitpick on the detailsI don't see much changing in terms of parity. Programs have been competing for top talent for a long, long time. Duke and Kentucky have absolutely dominated the class rankings year after year, and while those programs do well, the last time one of them won the championship was 2012. It's difficult to know how players will develop or a team will gel. To me, the best championship team in recent memory was Baylor, and they had good, but not great recruiting classes.

Leron had several halves with zero rebounds. He was a shooter, a baseline jump shooter. And Hansberry is much bigger with a far more dynamic motor. Leron had skills, but they differ widely from Amani's,. And let's see how Hansberry looks at the end of his senior year. Not to disparage Leron, a good Illini, but I'd take Amani over him any day.I think Leron Black is a more accurate comp for Hansberry. Leron had some double digit rebound games here and was a beast on the glass in high school. He was an undersized big with length, a high motor & toughness with a mid range game. Similarly ranked as well. Leron also turned into a solid 3 point shooter and had more to him than baseline shots. Like I said Amani has better handles and play-making ability but check out their high school tapes at the same age. Not quite the same but same ballpark for sure.Leron had several halves with zero rebounds. He was a shooter, a baseline jump shooter. And Hansberry is much bigger with a far more dynamic motor. But his best season he averaged 5 boards a game. As a PF who averaged 1 3pt shot a game. It's ok for the comp not to be perfect...Leron had some double digit rebound games here and was a beast on the glass in high school. Last week, someone said BU has taken the drama out of recruiting.
Had street crepes in Paris, and I can confirm that they are amazing.I don’t think so. But crepes definitely are…and those things are amazing.
