I believe he was just defending Underwood's coaching style on Twitter, so I think he's an everyday guy.
I haven’t seen anything about potential DGL issues.

But also, Skyy was praising and defending Underwood after the Mizzou game as well and here we are.

I’m an Underwood fan. Too many kids are too soft and/or entitled these days, and that is a poison that will destroy and cripple a program quickly if you let it.

Brad is defending Skyy publicly. The young man was clearly struggling on the court, but it’s certainly possible the issues were bigger than than the ball not going through the net. Perhaps basketball isn’t the primary factor for his stepping away.
The 24 hour exposure to fans and critics puts a lot more pressure on kids these days, than what players of previous generations experienced. They get compensated better, but that adds yet another level of pressure.
You can’t help your team if you aren’t all in, regardless.
(According to your parents, your generation is soft… doesn’t matter which generation you are in…and so it goes…)

Obviously something going on, and its fine that its private. Just will add, once you go to a paid position, pressure comes with that. Life lesson. People fought a long time to get these guys paid. Hopefully they considered the ramifications to the pressure that comes along with that.....................

Let's not kid ourselves that many weren't already getting paid under the table before NIL.

I was recruited to run juco track by a coach who would supply my “pruman.” I’d already been paid to work since I was 15. It was just another arrangement. That was 1981.

Underwood and Alexander were in Bloomington tonight to watch Cole Certa. Apparently he scored 27 pts, but looks like a mid-major player to me. Although looks like he's been offered by Northwestern and Penn State, so maybe not. Said he's put on 20-25 lbs since the vid below, but he's still quite thin.

My concern with Brown is what is his "thing"? at 6'9" he's not an imposing presence in the paint. He's not a stretch guy. He's not back to the basket dominator. He's not a big time athlete that is going to run past your or jump over you. There is at least some fear that he is performing in high school because he's taller than his competition.

If you look at his stats vs Morez's this season:

Morez - 16.8 ppg, 11.8 rpg, 0.7 apg, 0.7 bpg, 52% FG, 56% FT, 43% 3pt (14 shots)

Brown - 10.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 0.7 apg, 0.3 bpg, 59% FG, 56% FT, 33% 3pt (3 shots)

I think Brown will be a P5 starter but not a star. Morez has a wider frame, more athleticism, and more range. I think Morez is still raw, but I think he has more potential to be a P5 star.
Thanks for the numbers. Morez also more of the Alpha. I stated after the Washington H.S. tourney that I was underwhelmed by JB and didn't see him as a blueblood recruit. Was thinking Illinois may back off and go for a stretch 4 type instead.

JB only a junior and will develop further, he looked much better against Whitney Young.

Is Braden Huff hurt at Gonzaga? I thought people said he was high major ready? If not hurt, he has no stats yet for the year..

Has not played. Redshirting. Needs to add muscle and no need to rush him with their front court talent.

Yup…will not play this year. Will be interesting to see if the over recruit him and if he sticks it out there. Think we could be in play if he ever decided to leave.

Can anyone give a quick DGL summary? Is he a true point guard?
Not as highly rated as Clark but similar path

Verbals to P5 school.
Decommits
Verbals to Illinois

Multiple high schools.

Maybe too soon but doesn’t feel like a recipe for success

He is a very skilled player with a high basketball iq and was the key player on a very strong AAU and high school team. He will be a solid 4 year player. He fits the Gonzaga system. Unless they want more athletic 4/5 I think he succeeds there.

Eh, if he does come he would probably ride the pine as a freshman then transfer to Santa Clara and average 20pts a game as a soph😉.
