Little late to the recruiting since I don't check over the weekend much...

I would love to have Hunter Dickinson on this team. He's like the Brad Marchand of the B1G.
Coleman, Dickinson, Dainja, and Hansberry would be an insane front court!

I've come down from the ledge after the Epps transfer a bit, this is just college basketball, and I still think Illinois's retention rate is way too low compared to some other programs, there is still a chance they can build a great team from the portal. I think communicating expectations is more paramount than ever. Players like Clark, Epps and Mayer don't seem to understand what they're getting into but we do have players like Shannon, Hawkins and Goode that do seem to understand what it means to play for an Underwood team embrace that. What is important is to try and get it right on the front end, if you have to sacrifice a bit of "talent" to get the right "culture" fit then I think that should happen.

Lots of great players in the Portal, let's go get 2 or 3 of them.

Would be a fantastic 6th or 7th man in the rotation-Plummer like role with multiple years left
Would take him as a starter or 6th man, but not as main point guard. Elite shooter (and Brad will be able to say elite 8000 times now).

It looks to me like there are a couple things out of sync. Iirc, the transfer portal for roundball closes May 11.

But the deadline to withdraw from the NBA draft is not until June 23?

What are the chances Hunter returns to Michigan? Would he give them a chance to match any NIL deal and/or build a championship level team around him? Or is that bridge burned?

Idk if it means much or if it was mentioned previously but Coleman put a clip of Chance's highlights with 👀 on an insta story.
