Great Insurance and Depth piece.

Never know what's going to happen, for example, Skyy leaving and Epps going down left us without a lot of ball handling prowess.

Right now we have
Harmon
Domask
Sencire
Ty
Dain
Goode

Cohawk and TSJ both ?

Moretti in development?

The 2 we picked up today make great sense. Skilled, veteran players.
We are forgetting about,
DrayLaworn and Hansberry. That's 9, if Coleman and TSjr. Return 11. Still need a Point Gurad! 1 more rim protector to back up Dainja. That's 13, who's the 1 that leaves?

I know Harmon shot the lights out against better competition in the NIT, but shot like 34% during the regular season. Which I guess is still better than basically everyone on our team this year lol
we need to pray our starting pg can shoot

Like I said, Tyger did shoot 34% which isn't awful, and is definitely a step up for us. I think the biggest change that could have us MAYBE shoot from 3 better is actually having a PG like Tyger to run the offense. TSJ, Coleman, Goode all getting more open shots in rhythm instead of having to dribble for 4 seconds then shoot one because no one could get open due to lack of running the offense will be big. I do think TSJ has much better shooting potential than 32% and a PG like Tyger would help that.

I'm skeptical on Harmon because I'm not seeing anything that stands out positive, and I'm seeing some warning signs. Its really hard to find any clips of him other than the one vs. Cincinnati.

I don't see outstanding athleticism in any of the reports.
34% from 3 (up from 30% as a FR)
~45% from 2
Assist to turnover ratio of 0.9 as a guard
He earned 6 Technicals last year. (As chippy as DMW could get, he only got Technicals 6 in his career at IL.)
His efficiency went down from FR to SO year.
I'm not seeing articles commenting on his defense. In 2022/23, TWO of his teammates were All-defense. In 2021, a different (third) was all-defense. Again, he was not.

Comparing Harmon to Feliz:
Feliz was a defensive pest.
Feliz had a 1.5 AST/TO ratio vs. 0.9 for Harmon.
Their shooting from 2 and rebounding are about the same (per time in career).
Harmon is a better 3pt shooter. I'm not thrilled with a 34% 3P shooter taking many 3s.
Feliz kept things under control.

As I said - I'm skeptical. Brad has shown that he can identify talent. (I give him a pass the first year as he needed to fill the roster.)

That was the year that didn't count already. So a medical waiver does nothing.
Technically, not how the rule is written which is simply players have 6 years of eligibility to play 5. If a player wants to add a 7th year of eligibility or 6th year of playing there is a waiver process with a qualifying criteria, but ultimately it comes down to discretion of NCAA.

Turns out if you have someone competently running the offense, the whole team will see more open looks from deep. Even if Tyger (should he play for us) only shot 32% from three, he could still indirectly cause the team's 3P% to increase.

discretion needs to be in quotes when we're referring to the NCAA
