As BU said publicly at one point the only person on the team who was bringing their A game every day in practice was Sincere Harris, but Hawkins is entitled to his views and his candor is helpful.

I'm going to tow the party line that that team being a culture catastrophe was the fault of Mayer, Clark, Epps and nobody else. If that starts being proven wrong in November, well, some fingers will be pointed at some well compensated individuals.
I don't think that's the party line. Look at what Coleman said in his interviews immediately following the loss. He said out loud that he now realizes that there was a culture/leadership void that he needed to fill that he did not fill. That's not him pointing the finger at Mayer, Clark, Epps, and nobody else. If Coleman comes back, I'm imagining (and hoping) that we see a different version of Coleman that is 100% bought in and being the leader that we would need him to be.

Another big man who's first name starts with Ad is thinking about going portaling as well (NIL related) ;).

Brad says a lot publicly to motivate guys to try and get them to find another gear … Even if it may not even be true …

Coleman is a gamer … He’d tell you that … Practice was frustrating for him last year because when the staff would go over the plays again and again and again and 2 certain freshman guards would not even get into the action on the first play of the game even though they spent well over an hour on it in practice …

Would you continue to go hard in practice ? It would get frustrating and Coleman showed how frustrated he was during that post game interview at the end of the season … He’s just the only one not afraid to rock the boat … He tried different leadership styles and took responsibility for probably not doing more in that department and not pushing the right buttons … But it’s also very tough as a 21 year old kid and not being the oldest guy on the team to be the sole leader … 🤷🏻‍♂️

Which is why Brad called TJ out publicly for leadership … He needed to step up …

Knowing this, how do you feel about Epps's departure?

I know we need more shooters -- I don't mind Domask playing, he can have Dain's minutes. Not enough people appreciate what Rodgers does. Domask can't get the offensive rebounds off missed free throws like Rodgers can, that's unreal. He did that over and over -- and then later in the possession someone hits a 3 and everyone is so impressed by whoever hits the 3....the hard part was done by Rodgers keeping the possession alive with the offensive rebound. There's no way Domask or basically anyone else gets that offensive rebound. (and not just on missed FTs but rebounds in general) And Ty does that a lot, and he did it as a freshman, and he's only going to get better at it. Or on the defensive end, Rodgers comes down with a rebound in traffic between 2 guys, opponent doesn't score -- Ty's not in the game, we don't get the rebound, opponent scores and everyone complains about how bad we are at rebounding.

I'm just saying there's more to winning basketball than making 3s. Rodgers does so much of that and is only going to get better.
Agree with this. Makes sense to start Ty and have Sencire and Domask in reserve roles.

I’ve talked about this one before …

“I mean I can’t really expand as to why he left … Private internal matter like I’ve said many times …

As for why i soured on Epps … Not being coachable was my number 1 reason … Also the NIL $$ ask …. A little steep for the production he was giving …”

The question with Derrick Rose isn't with him getting paid, because, like, duh.

The question is how they faked his SAT. Like it's been a throwaway line in things that John Calipari arranged for someone to take Rose's SAT for him. Uh...how?

That's quite a bit harder to fool than the Barney Fife's down at NCAA enforcement.
Not that hard. A friend takes the test at a site in Detroit, while the PSA attends a Pistons' game with World Wide Wes.

Love the vibes out here today. Any idea (or willingness to share) on when the next domino will fall??

It’s true … They are … Why would Abmas want to share the rock when he can play the Keynote George role at Baylor or the same role he played this year at ORU at Wichita …
I do not disagree. Playing alongside Hunter would be an interesting fit but probably would not look much different from what it looked like next to Marcus Carr. Abmas is a much more gifter scorer and probably turns it over less... guess we'll have to see how it shakes out.

I could definitely see the appeal of going to Baylor and playing in Drew's offense.

Everything I heard about Epps not coming back was precisely along that line. Had nothing to do with not wanting him back... had everything to do with what his camp was expecting to see in return for NIL... they were not willing to meet it so Epps went a portalin'

Mom also hated Brad …

She wasn’t ever going to get over it …

Wins a national title and bolts? I’m here for the transfer portal era 🤣 entertaining if nothing else
Has nothing to do with him "bolting" again it seems similar to the Tyger situation. They have a future lottery pick who was playing back up minutes because him and Sanogo could not share the court at the same time.

Sanogo gave all he could to Hurley and UConn. From all I have read they are just making Clingan the focus of the frontcourt moving forward and retooling around him. Especially since they are losing Hawkins to the draft.

Where ever Sanogo goes hes going to get Tshiebwe money.

Just some slang for leaving, nothing against Sanogo lol
