Honestly - the second I heard about Nembhard … I thought he’d be gone …

Which makes me think Gonzaga is very much in play …

Boswell didn’t go to AZ to play the 2 …
If Nembhard goes to AZ, do you think with what we are recruiting at PG, Boswell would entertain here or become an option to be one of our top options? The dude would at least meet the standards of not being a freshman, could be a local legend, and I think could have one heck of a sophomore leap.

For us ? It’s still on the table … Just gonna be tough to navigate …

It’s not really a secret the 4 players I was referring to & I have confirmed we do indeed have the $$ to support it …

I noticed this as well and, because of the timing, I thought it had to do with Storr. Glad to see I was wrong.

So Hunter was in Indy’s gif… but also thinks Kansas lands him.. soo…. What’s up with that?

Do we have the money for Hunter ? Yes.

Would we take Hunter ? Yes.

Does he have a visit set up at this very moment ? No.

Does Kansas have all of those 3 things listed above … Yes …

Which leads me to believe … As of right now … Kansas is the team to beat …

I’m on a few different Illini Fan Facebook pages, and after Paxton announced he was leaving, there were many, many posts made by his dad on almost all of them about how unfair BU was to his son, and how his son should have played more minutes. He also sarcastically trash talked the new walk-on that since his family was a friend of BU, the new kid would get his son’s minutes. Some parents just don’t get it…

When Warden got in the game early in the season I thought he looked the part. He definitely had plenty of lift on his jumper and had good size for a guard. I was impressed by his athleticism for a walkon. His HS teammates have had success. I think he can find a level on scholarship where he can def play. Maybe MVC or Horizon. But parents should know walkons are never gonna play in basketball even if they deserve it

Went to college in Phoenix. Tempe is a whole other level for college atmosphere. Mill Avenue is great. Just a great school.
Mill Avenue is a great place to hang out, both the bars and the laid back coffee shops. The people are nice. The scenery .... Students, if they go home for the summer, miss 3 of the 6 really bad weather months (daily 100+ until after 10pm).

Unfortunately when I went back to ASU recruiting (CS), there was never a single candidate worth sending onsite for more interviews. In comparison, UIUC, while having many weak candidates, had some good ones, and a few OMG give them whatever they ask. UIUC gets multiple visits a year.

That's a head scratcher , to say the least......I had high hopes for R J .........now he's just another college BB player , to me....

Probably best for all parties for him to move on ......This reinforce's my statement that going forward I will limit my attachment to the MBB players until they attend at least 3 years at UI......................This wild , wild west scenario is gonna be hard for me to get used to as I have fond memories of a player being recruited , then graduating from the University of Illinois after 3-4 years of donning the O & B............

I imagine this will cause , as has been speculated before in one of the many threads , some coaches to retire earlier than in the past.....BU has stated many times the challenges to restocking a roster with 5-8 new players each year........

I am all for the players to get paid , but the rush for the $$$ has caused a pullback by this old fart........Scorecards are needed to see who's playing from game to game .......I know that's an exaggeration of what is really happening , but maybe one day we will see a MBB player play the first half for one team and then trade jersey's and play for the other team in the second half......

Moderation seems to be needed before it gets totally out of hand..........JMHO
I understand where you're coming from. I can remember when I once looked down on schools that had to regularly bring in Juco players to plug holes in their rosters as programs that weren't able to build a sustainable culture and develop their players. Those days are now gone forever and instead of Jucos it's now division 1 players jumping ship for what they hope are greener pastures (more $$, more PT, or more chances to be higher in the scoring pecking order). I've always been a fan of the college game over the pro's, in part because you could watch these freshmen develop and mature into a team, and wondering during the off season who'd make a big jump the next season. Now I'm left with watching a bunch of free agents who happen to wear he jersey of my alma mater for perhaps that season only. Something has been lost from the joy of college basketball forever, unless changes are made to these transfer rules.

From what I’m hearing … Sounds like Del Conte is about to get his first tongue lashing about hiring Terry …

Estrada to Bama … They offered more $$ than K State …

I’ve also been told Abmas likes K State … A LOT …

Imagine Terry goes to his AD …. Says I need more money so I can hire this guy and get Abmas … So he hires Haith to get Abmas and doesn’t even get him …

Yikes … Would love to be a fly on the wall for that …

Terry won’t last 2 years … Have said it since the jump and CDC can pack his 💩 with him …

Not a done deal on Abmas to K State … But Estrada got told to go to Bama … So Tang must have his guy …
