Is this bad news possibly? Certainly hope not. But not worried if it is because I know this staff always comes through.
I didn't see this addressed (or I missed it). I don't see this as a good thing. After his visit, I saw him down as a lock for us. Not sure how a guy taking another visit qualifies as a lock? Generally, a person who is 100% on anything (sports, job searches, relationships...) doesn't lend itself to continuing to look around.

Edit:. If they just reached out and he declined the visit, that's a different story.

Question for the insiders: Did we recruit Brock Harding at all? If not, any idea why? Was he all in w Iowa from the jump? Did we like other PGs better? I saw Harding play a couple times last season and I think we’re going to really hate playing against him for 4 years. Oh, and also… once hamburgers have run their course I look forward to debating the best pizza places in the Midwest.
Harding has said Coleman and Antigua recruited him, but the new assistants did not. He’s from an Illinois family, so he would’ve been very interested. We will hate playing against him. He’s not a sure fire star by any means but he’ll be a problem at a minimum.

Thanks for the info… much appreciated 👍🏻

so are we going to lose Gurrier to West Virginia? Would he really waste the staffs time for a 3rd time?

Thanks for sharing. Hadn't thought of that place in years.... my parents were both from Mattoon and both sets of GPs lived there until they passed. Was not too far from Hoots Haus if I remember... and I think there was a connection? Also loved Little Mexico restaurant... would power through a Mr. Mexican platter :)

@Indy Illini Fan what kind of rabbits is Barnes pulling out to grad Ledlum and Knecht (away from Oregon, apparently) in the same week?

Is it a b10 thing? Transfers don’t want to come here since we flame in the tournament?

Oh, how I long for a Jolly Roger’s paper-thin crust pepperoni pizza. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my day, and though it’s long gone, it remains the gold standard to my taste buds. 🪦🏴‍☠️🍕😢

Jolly Rogers was awesome and a bit under the radar. My knucklehead friends and I would always wait until the last minute to make reservations for big weekends (Dads Day, Homecoming, etc.) and they could almost always accommodate large parties... as you suggested... amazing pizza!

My 43rd consecutive preseason where I can look forward to a team that goes 9 deep.

That place was so smoky I’m surprised they didn’t have to tear it down when it closed. Loved the pizza and the live organ, tho.
