So are we all just supposed to ignore that you guys have said nothing but RayJ for 2 months & be happy that we lost out on a lock. Like hey let’s post some pictures of Yuri Collins like nothing happened lol…. would love to have Yuri FWIW but way too soon for this….
Is Yuri able to grad transfer if that is the pivot? Didn't think he was in the portal.

Pretty sure it’s not about the $$ with Ray J.RayJ has not been telling people it’s Utah … There is some conflicting info going around and as this whole recruitment has gone on it’s all been about perception … RayJ wants to get the most $$ he can and who can blame him … So have people throw out that you’re going to Utah and watch what happens to Illinois offer …
Brad & TA need to find a way to close it down … Get the deal done …
But there’s a reason you don’t see much info about this recruitment … Lot of people have absolutely no idea what’s going on … And the people who do don’t wanna say much because RayJ camp will know who leaked info …

It sounds like some schools are starting to hire GMs. I'd end up saying, ok kid we want you, but I'm not doing this. Here's our offer, call me when you make a decision, but I'm not playing these games. I'd probably get fired because kids would go elsewhere, but this is nuts. Are they going to start holding out from practice now too?
The more we hear about the specifics of NIL, the more I believe there needs to be a heck of a lot of structure put in place. The only good part about it is at least we get the NCAA Football video game back, and presumably NCAA Basketball this winter.
I mean it’s better than most backup options, but RayJ sure has better stats.
The assist rate Yuri brings intrigues me though. And at the end of the day I most certainly will be happy getting Yuri, if for nothing other than to stop caring about secret PG recruitments.

If Yuri Collins is the backup plan, I'm not sure it is a downgrade. He is a heck of a player, although more a pass first PG, while RayJ is more a scorer. I'd be thrilled with either.
There wasn't any frustration behind the comment. At some point its time to get a commit or move on is all I really meant. I'm sure the staff's backup plan is nearly as good....I don't believe that there is only one who can run point for I-L-L next year, and at some point the antics and negotiations get tiresome.
