The Galloping Ghost

Washington, DC
Don’t love when people just equate followers with reliability. An account with like 500 follows leaked the Arizona cardinals new uniforms a few hours before they released. It’s all just info, good or bad, and is fun to weigh all that out.
Yeah, I don't know, man. I'm going to guess if someone with 500 followers leaked the Arizona Cardinals new uniforms they probably at least had, you know, a picture with evidence. When it comes recruiting info on twitter, it doesn't mean anything unless it's coming from an actual reliable source. But hey, you can make your own choices.

And maybe they’re wrong … 🤷🏻‍♂️

If Brad loses him … No one to blame but the guy in the mirror … Had tons of PGs in the portal and kept holding out … He put all his chips on one guy …
Hot take: this sounds a lot like Brunson/Evans… except that Groce was holding out hope for a 5-star that went on to a national championship and nba success, while Brad is potentially getting burned by holding out for a 5th-year senior from Toledo.

Ok, set me on fire.

Nope … This is a fair take if he chooses Baylor …

I’d even be more harsh because I know good PGs who we could’ve had that went elsewhere …

Does losing RayJ allow us sudden payroll flexibility to buy CoHawk out of the draft?

Hawkins is one of the most interesting players to come along in recent years. He has such a unique and varied skill set in a single player. Along with that a great passion for the game and a burning desire to succeed. (Some guys have the all talent but fall a bit short in the ‘desire to get better’ area).

But it’s certainly not an easy or obvious decision about what is best for him at this point in time. And honestly, not even those around him can know the answer to that. Because... he could return to The Beloved and have breakout superstar type of season... or he could just stay at the solid but not Nationally eye-catching level he’s had in the past. Which could hurt his value and draft status later on. But his potential makes him a great player to take a chance on in The Draft with high potential upside. Wouldn’t want to be the guy who passes on taking him.

How to decide? When you don’t have facts... go with what feels right in the moment. Does he feel better about coming back (NIL or no-NIL) or moving on? Only Coleman can answer that question and only after tuning out all the big noise and competing interests that he’s currently surrounded with right now.

Why do we call drivers woods...?
This comes from the days of chauffeurs. The chauffeurs job was to basically sit around until you needed to go a significant distance. It wasn't a demanding job, and they often were not the brightest people. Another common term for someone who wasn't so bright at the time was a blockhead. Thus woods: something that is dense and goes a distance.

I have faith we still get RayJ. It may be blind faith, but I believe we get it done.

Yep. This right here is the biggest concern. Especially following the Skyy debacle.

No joke, but if I were him I'd post a thank you for his time at Illinois but he's decided to pursue his career at Michigan along with a Michigan edit, let that simmer for about 10min, then post he's coming back to Illinois. Embrace the role of villain. The follows and media that would result from that would be gigantic.
It would be so epic but oh man I can only imagine the hate he would get for 10 minutes.

BTW I love Hawk and really hope he returns. There’s no way he transfers out. It’s the draft or Illinois.
