Yep, also id like to point out that people are discounting what Williams and really all our new additions may bring. It seems mainly because some are from mid majors.
I'm actually not seeing that at all. Lots of excitement expressed for Trey. People are bringing up shooting percentages, defense, injuries, turnovers, etc.

In fact, about the only mid-major rationalization that I've heard is that we shouldn't be so concerned about Dennis because he was MAC.

Jeremiah Williams
Antonio Reeves
Terrence Shannon
Quincy Guerrier
Coleman Hawkins

If Reeves transfers, this could be a potential starting lineup. Damask, Ty, Amani, and Dain will be first off the bench-Sencire and Goode will play a good amount as well. While people are freaking out, this team is literally stacked with depth. One of the deepest teams you will find in the country next year
I really appreciate all of your insight and sharing but touting this lineup/roster with a point guard coming off Achilles tear starting and absolutely no backup is serious orange kool-aid!

Seems like you are putting a lot of faith into Williams being healthy and also getting a waiver. What if he doesn't accomplish both?

I just really don’t think it’s that crazy to expect more than “we will be alright” from a coach making what Brad does. I’m not saying you are wrong about that squad but if you want to be paid like a top 10 coach in the country expectations change, especially with the backing of NIL/boosters at his disposal.

Every year? We had 2 PG's going into last year. Brad is not at fault for Sky quitting on the team and Epps basically doing the same 10 games into the big ten season and getting hurt. We had NO PG the last 15 games of the season. Our roster depth was 8 players. We have PG's multiple on the roster now. If any can handle the ball, limit turnovers and shoot 33% from 3 we are already light years ahead of last year. Add a year older COHAwk, TSJ, Ty, Sincere, Dain, etc. I like where we stand. Yes, I wish we had RayJ but we don't and to act like we are in the same boat as last year is just not realistic.
the similarity to last year is that Brad's banking on a starting PG coming off a severe injury who isn't proven at the Big 10 level. The backup PG spot will likely be a freshman, same as last year......Might work out, but does seem pretty risky
