So a point guard committed to Illinois earlier this week while the Illini were still waiting for RayJ to make his decision? That make's absolutely zero sense.

Please tell me this is not our answer.

The most interesting thing I learned in that article is that October is part of summer, at least to writers in Des Moines.

This is a terrible add. Very disappointing. Ty playing point is probably better than this.

This is a guy who can't shoot at all, is coming off of a major injury that will likely cause him to miss all of summer plus the beginning of next season, and needs a waiver for immediate eligibility since he's already transferred twice.
It says he could have 3 years of eligibility left so its not all bad. We still need another roster spot to open up to fix this year's problem.

He can do a lot of good things but how can he be PG when he does not need to be closely guarded? He literally didn't take a shot outside of 5 feet last season. He plays to his strengths, plays hard, and doesn't make many mistakes. I don't see him being a lead pg given his lack of shooting.
I wonder if he will ever develop his shooting.

I keep hearing about a comparison to Draymond. If he could shoot at that level, I think could stay on the floor and be a serviceable option.

I think the sky is the limit with Ty.

We are likely to add him......
But that won't be our last guard addition. All I will say

I like this if he’s healthy — but that’s a huge if.

He should start over Harmon (again, if healthy and recovered). We wanted Williams last summer for a reason. Big guard who can pass, get to the rim and shoot a bit (32.4% from 3 as a freshman at Temple). Also had a reputation as an elite defender at Temple.
