So… what does J Will bring to the table here that Sencire doesn’t? Better ball handling and passing? Defense and shooting seem to be the same player.

Lol some of y'all man. Yeah he's coming off of an injury, but he was one of the best on ball defensive players in the country and is a good ball handler. Big guard that can pass it
Read an article that said he may not even be healthy to play by the Fall. Article was from a couple of months ago, but that is concerning if true. Is this more of a plan for the future than this season?

Now we are counting down yet another agonizing waiting period. What's the end date of securing this mystical point guard that we just know Brad is going to reel in?

Actually happy with him preinjury. Need a distributor like Belo frosh or Dre Feliz, not a scorer. Particularly a good defensive player as he is supposed to be. However we did try the recovering injury guy last year with no success.
Trust the coach more than loyalty.

Wouldn’t say little to no issue…. Historically almost every single basketball player has declined after tearing an Achilles. It’s considered the most serious injury in the sport.

I’m all for optimism, but let’s not pretend this isn’t a major factor.
Kevin Durant, Wesley Mathews, Dominque Wilkins, Rudy Gay have come back from an Achilles and have not or did not decline. This is not an injury that you are unable to recover from.

Sounds like we are adding Williams as a depth piece and are looking to add another guard, which means we will need to run someone off.

Most likely candidate seems to be Harmon as most other guys are already with the team. Absent a transcript or some other issue which is preventing Harmon from coming, can someone explain to me how Williams is an upgrade from Harmon? I get that Williams has up to 3 years of eligibility remaining but he needs a waiver to play this year and highly likely he needs at least another year to get back anywhere close to 100% anyway. All our roster moves thus far have screamed win now. And if we are in win now mode I don’t see any way that Williams is preferable to Harmon.
They'll probably crean Moretti if it comes down to it.

When Love entered the portal the first time the insiders laughed at the idea of even giving him the time of day, which I and most level headed posters agreed with.
my recollection as well.

ANd i highly doubt coleman wouldve wanted to come back after it seemed he didnt appreciate mayers chucking. Love took 16-17 shots a game to mayers 10. Maybe even TSJ wouldve been less likely to come back too. PG with low assist numbers who shoots more than ayo did in 21, but way less efficiently. NAW

He has good size. A strong defender.. As a freshman he avg 9 at Temple and started every game but one. I also like the fact he may be able to have 3 years remaining. I'm fine with this add if we are able to add another PG. We aren't even sure Williams can play this year being his second transfer, right?
He is coming off one of the most serious injuries for a basketball player and won’t be ready for months. Can’t shoot a lick. Went 22-23 at temple as a starter. Doesn’t come from a winning culture. Can’t shoot free throws. I agree if we add another PG he’s a fine 3rd guy. But this ain’t it on it’s own.

I get that but I feel like if he transfers it's gonna look like a crean situation which is bad optics IMO..

I guess he could "decide" to go back overseas

Maybe EIU (Alexander ties) does us another solid and takes him like they did Jermaine Hamlin?

Goodness. Some of y’all with the doomsday mentality. . .

We got the two most important pieces back yesterday. They are going to be KEY in leadership and team chemistry. They already were humming playing together last year.

We thought we were gonna run the table with last years team and look what happened. Kstate was voted last in their conference and killed it with their group of ragtag transfers.

We don’t know how these guys will gel or grow until the ball is tipped in November. But I can bet the older senior and grad experience will be a hell of a lot better than relying on freshmen. So let’s just be patient and wait and see.

I’ll be watching every second of basketball regardless, cause I love this team. I know everyone here does, that’s why we are here posting on a Thursday afternoon in June.
