Gordon
Cliffmas
Livingston
Rose
Collins

There are so many. I just want to keep listing them. I don’t think it’s close to any of those.
I'm too lazy to go through this thread, but the key difference is this team is probably better than every one of these teams except for Livingston possibly playing on the 05 team (which is silly to be listed here).

Collins on the 06 Illini is the only team that is close.

If Hansberry got creaned to make room for Jeremiah Williams; I am done.
Done with Underwood or the Illini? I'm guessing it's not the latter. Weber sucked after Self's recruits moved on, and Groce never seemed to do anything right. Why would this be the final straw? :ROFLMAO:

I'm not arguing that Williams has risk with the Achilles injury. No doubt about it. But you don't build a roster you want. That's foolish. You fight for what you can get! You don't get what you want at this level. These are the best college coaches in the country fighting to get the players they want. Again, you obviously haven't coached. Underwood is a solid coach and we'd be stupid to dump him after what he's done overall for our program. Brad brought the facilities and the money. What's your strategy. Dump Brad and who do we get? Do we get a guy who immediately gets NBA players? A guy that goes to the dance 4 straight years? A guy that wins a conference title after we were sooooooo bad? A guy that wins a conference tournament? A guy that recruits character guys? We don't talk about that enough. You know the guys that quit/leave early on? They are bad character guys and Underwood is willing to let them go. That's very important and people don't talk about that enough. We'd be crazy to let Underwood go and/or bash rim right now!
You’re right we’d be stupid to dump Brad let’s just let him keep making massive mistakes at the expense of millions and we’ll finish 56th in the tournament every year with TWO ALL AMERICANS. Oregon States coach had his boys prepared with a zone defense. How come our solid coach doesn’t have that one in his bag? And I don’t know how you just contradicted yourself in a matter of sentences but you did. “Brad recruits high character guys” “the guys that quit and leave early on? They’re bad character guys” well Brad recruited them… and put the program in their hands. Maybe I’m overreacting but Brad played with fire on this one and it absolutely blew up in his face

It blew up in his face that he's been in the tournament 4 straight years after Illinois was terrible for 10+ years? Who is your replacement? Who will we get? Does he make mistakes? Yes! What coaches are in the Final Four every year? Elite Eight every year? Name them. He's attempting to get the best players in the country. High star recruits. If they don't work he's at least willing to cut bait after a year. Why would TSJ and Hawkins come back if they are projected NBA draft picks? They must think Underwood is terrible, right? Think about it man!

I think you double posted 7 minutes apart ;)

And how did you enjoy it all those years when we were less than absolutely fine?
I get that, but this last year's team was way less likable than the two worst Illini team of the last 20 years.

2018 & 2015 both had Aaron Jordan (win) and each had uniquely fun players/promise. Last year was joyless and the majority of young players left.

I don't think BU needs an AA at PG, but if he doesn't have a Feliz hidden somewhere we're going to be back to Hawkins playing point. Do we have a Feliz clone somewhere?

He didn’t have much hair, but I think this qualifies as blonde

56th? How is that even possible/where did that exaxt number come from?

The point would make more sense if you stated a "first weekend exit".

The rants from the last few hours have been highly entertaining.

In the grand scheme of things, I haven't been on here too long but, I've gotta say, there has been a flourishing of young insiders this past week like I've never seen before.

Long live Loyalty!!!!!
This is much appreciated. We need to appreciate our insiders more. You win some you lose some. Just appreciate people who appreciate the program. I have to admit I really like Pruman!

Just done with following recruiting. It's not happening anyway. Hansberry is one the best recruits of the Underwood era.

I still don't understand the logic of using the last scholarship on Williams if they still plan to add a point guard. That is just me.

I also don't understand the logic of creaning a player (Moretti) who reportedly showed progress in the weight room.

I guess the sausage analogy applies here.

I wonder if something else is going on that could open up a ride, like academics, admissions ...

I completely agree. There's just been so much bi**hing on here in the last month. Here's to hoping Woodbury likes Orange and Blue Kool-aid 😁

William's can be a depth piece. Even if we add a grad PG this year next year we are in the same boat. If he can provide 10 to 15 mins a game as a backup PG that is super valuable. With his three years remaing it provides stability.

On Moretti he is the weak link. Everyone just look at our roster. Who goes? Only common sense answer would be him. Agreed Hansberry is one of Underwoods best recruits and the people saying him or Harmon goes is hysterical.

Has this board speculated creaning everyone besides TSJ and Coleman since Underwood missed on one recruit? Every program misses on recruits including the blue bloods. Do you seriously think the coaches do not have a plan at this point? It may not work out, but they have a plan. We should be extremely excited on how far underwood has brought this program since took over. If you want to not like him because of the yelling, that’s fine. I could live without that also. But you just have issues if you panic every time we miss on a recruit.

One of Brad's biggest weaknesses is his hard headedness at times. Now dont get me wrong he did change the defense twice within the last couple years after the no switching didnt work and the all out pressure defense failed early on. However not willing to switch up and go zone and not seeing that Dain's drop coverage was trash is frustrating. Everyone had a free throw line jumper available to them last year that played us. Brad loved those tough 2's. Lmao

If he’s such a good coach how does he come away from the portal after 3 months with Jeremiah Williams and John Harmon at PG…especially after what we just went through last year
