I apologize if this has already been discussed. I’ve heard rumblings that Justin Harmon won’t be able to transfer to illinois. Could Lville, Indy and/or Illini0440 confirm or deny this?
Been hearing this a while, but I have no knowledge, just some 3rd or 4th hand. Could be why we are still very active

Who publicly have we been linked to? I don’t feel like we’ve been linked to too many players. Heck the main guy (Reeves) isn’t even in the portal (yet).

I think it’s more likely someone like Harmon or Quincy leaves because of pt concerns, rather than grade issues. Feels weird we’d risk taking a player of harmons ability if there was serious risk of him not making grades.

Is the team better with Reeves and Johnson or Harmon and Moretti? That’s an easy one

Pro teams own you. You don't get to transfer until your contract is complete.
I not suggesting a player would jump from team to team in the pros whenever they wish, I understand how the NBA works, I mean the attitude and/or mentality of the player who feels the need to jump to multiple schools, or is compelled to by wearing out their welcome. In this portal era, it may come back to bite some of the players who are continually chasing what they feel is a more desired landing spot, or finding themselves out of favor at more than one place. It may signal a that they could be a problem.

Exactly... it was the entire point of my post: Joy to the world / All the boys and girls / Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea / Joy to you and me.

If I were the king of the world / I'd tell you what I do / I'd throw away the cars and the bars and wars... then it gets a bit blue.

I still remember those lyrics from Mrs. Woodrow's 7th grade choral class. 44 years gone... We had some good fun in there. Sang "What Shall We Do With the Drunken Sailor" regularly, too.
I'm only assuming that your teacher also added the "shave his b***s with a rusty razor verse"? It was Junior High after all.

If Mulcahy can be persuaded to join the O&B, I'll be cheering my nuts off for him. I won't be alone.

Kid was a smug prick when he came on the scene, not nearly as good as he thought he was. But he's really improved over the years and now I see a guy who really, really wants to win. I'd take him in a heartbeat.
He comes off as one of those guys everyone hates (myself included) unless he plays for your team.

Wow have we sunk so low to name off Frazier, and Trent, and Felix as some kind of Big dog PGs?!?! Thats why we've never been deep in the tournament since 2005. Ayo wasn't true PG any ways.
You said guards in your original post. Not point guards. So there.

Strangely, I can't recall. She was gifted in dealing with young adolescents but I'm guessing even she didn't take it that far.

Checking to see if this is true ... watched a podcast where they said one of our transfers (a guard not on campus) was having trouble getting into Illinois. Is this the reason everyone is saying a spot is open?

we made a lot of jokes over the last summer of Underwood's obsession with wings. Is the staff not concerned, especially after last year, that subpar PG could hurt the team? If this change occurs our roster would be

Bigs: Dainja
Big wings: Hawkins, Hansberry, Guerrier
Wings: Shannon, Reeves, Goode, Domask, Rodgers, Johnson, DGL, Sencire
PG: Williams

You could maybe put Hansberry in as a big instead of a big wing, but I don't expect him to be on the block with his back to the basket a ton. You could maybe put Johnson as a PG/wing, he'd have to be, especially with the question marks with Williams.

The big men in the Big Ten will not be as good as they've been in past years, but if anything happens to Dainja or Williams in this scenario, we are just a team of wings and a Fr trying to learn PG. I also think Johnson is less likely than Reeves to boot, but maybe we're taking all that money set aside for Dennis and throwing it at him.

If this is our lineup, we will scuffle mightily against any team that presses us. Even without a press the number of turnovers we're going to cough up would be ridiculous.
