Subtle, but very savvy recruiting in the hand shake line. 🤣🤣

CH tweet seems to indicate U of I as one of the top contenders. Let’s see if Brad & co. manage to do it.
For everyone that thinks Hawk's tweet was referring to Mulcahy, if you have an iPhone, please for the love of goodness, type a sentence where you try to write "new jerseys." It autocorrects to caps every single time. It was a typo, not a hint.

Just like @DB11Headband said yesterday.

Look, I understand it will be a bit of a shock to possibly see Mulcahy in orange and blue, and it may require a welfare check on pruman after he sees that image, but it instantly transforms this team.
A Super senior with all that B1G experience and grit, running a team with two legit NBA wings, a healthy 40%+ 3pt shooter and a solid 5?
Cmon man. Paul is stir crazy if he passes up a chance to run with this lineup. And you are insane not to look forward to it.

Bring it on. We can clean up the vomit after.

lol...........if Punky McBrewster ever dons the O & B , I will compare that to someone getting religious on their deathbed......better late than never............I want the Illini to win.........Every damn game..............If he helps us , then I can control my hatred for 1 season.......I won't like it , but I will do it for the Illini Nation and the elusive Natty to finally find it's way to Cham-Bana ....................

As far as vomit , I'll pass on that............I really really will...........................

I think Coach Shrews at Notre Dame will be hard to beat, and a desperate UK is a tough candidate. Hopefully, he wants to go out with a top 15 team, and chooses the Beloved Illini. It makes so much sense that it worries me - Illini fan angst.
Mulcahy. Name sounds Irish Catholic. Wonder how he feels about the Leprechaun in South Bend.

I hope he feels that it had its day on the hardwood back in the '70s when Digger roamed the sidelines, and the only day it has seen the sun since was an unmentionable March afternoon in 2003 when its players couldn't miss from three and Brian Cook donned the O&B for the final time.

Then again, I doubt he's even aware of any of that.

Well, the good news is that this can't go on too long. In two months, this team boards a plane to go overseas. With the RayJ situation, we were told that he was going commit every week in April, weekends in May.....and he went to Baylor. A few said it was BU's biggest recruiting failure and he'd be on the hot seat because he was out of options at PG. N

Now...the Mulcahey rumor mill cranks up. Nobody knows.

Am I wrong to say Coach doesn’t want to lose this one or he will definitely lose credibility with Josh and alumni?
That's what we were being told after RayJ. Now, this opportunity comes up. I'm confused what our donors/alumni expect from BU on these recruitments. These are one year guys. They know what they want. The money is going to be there regardless. All he can do is offer PT. PM knows our offense, he knows our players, he knows our staff. These are not new introductions. He either wants the opportunity here or he doesn't. This is a 21/22 year old man. Mom and dad aren't going to be holding his hand here.

Great scorer, but can't take a lick of coaching and is really poor defensively. He will put up good offensive numbers there though
Completely agree. Loved the guy coming out of high school. Liked him early. Poor defense and basically refusing to go in meaning poor attitude I’m glad we moved on.

I think we'd have have excellent talent around Mulcahy. However, who are the two legit NBA wings? Obviously TSJ is one, but I can't see anyone else on the roster that comes close. I'd think the starting 5 would be Mulcahy, TSJ, Domask, Hawk, and Dain. Maybe substitute Guerrier for Dain. Fantastic lineup, and lots of talent on the bench. But again, I don't see another "legit NBA wing."
