Man, that was a depressing read.
Man, that was a depressing read.
If our coaches really have dubbed two guys who averaged more turnovers than assists last season (DGL as a prep) the answer at point guard based upon a few practices, we have more problems than we could have possibly anticipated.Any of you Indiana guys that follow AAU BB, know that DGL and Braden Smith had some epic battles. Even though DGL is a year behind Braden, he held his own. Purdue fans were concerned about Smith leading a veteran team as their PG but he came out of the box starting for the #1 team in the country. Coaches probably already have good indication of what a DGL/Harmon combo can do and are impressed enough that they will pass on Touissant and Krissa. Go Illini
DGL's 4.4 to 2.7 ATO ratio for QTE was pretty good.If our coaches really have dubbed two guys who averaged more turnovers than assists last season (DGL as a prep) the answer at point guard based upon a few practices, we have more problems than we could have possibly anticipated.
But necessary.Man, that was a depressing read.
There was a story that Coach Weber was giving the team one of his talks at the conclusion of practice. Everyone else was heads up paying attention. Meechie (McCamey's other nickname) stood there, with his head down, dribbling a basketball.Problem with DMac was BAM and him were not on the same page and shows what happens when the head coach and PG are on different pages. Those were the beginning of the dark days
By cure, do you mean induce?Ked said Skyy would lead the Big Ten in assists, vault the Illini to the Final Four and, in the off-season, discover a cure for irritable bowel syndrome.
Note: Ked is the new Chuck Norris.
It was a horrible timeline. And yet it makes me so thankful for Trent, DMW, and Mr. Feliz.Man, that was a depressing read.
Chemistry to BU is paramount. Kriisa's 5.1 apg stat is impressive but more compelling is Tommy Lloyd's desire to see him leave. Not sure we need head cases on this team.I think chemistry in terms of minutes; shots, positions, and NIL are big factors in not pursuing further PGs. But we also don't know what is being discussed.

Is that true? Not questioning it, it is just there is so much chatter about him it is hard to sort out.Chemistry to BU is paramount. Kriisa's 5.1 apg stat is impressive but more compelling is Tommy Lloyd's desire to see him leave. Not sure we need head cases on this team.
Pretty good?Kiwane Garris Jr, 6’4” 2025 from Georgia just picked up an offer from Old Dominion…his dad was a pretty good Illini back in the day
Any word if Harmon is eligible? That would be helpful.Any of you Indiana guys that follow AAU BB, know that DGL and Braden Smith had some epic battles. There is a readily available video of coach Lloyd talking about how KK was an addition from a chemistry standpoint...Is that true? Not questioning it, it is just there is so much chatter about him it is hard to sort out.
Haha. I was just messing around. You’re right. Nothing wrong with it!Lol. I do know him a little bit, but actually more his sister.
Really a good guy. Yeah, huge homer.
Nothing wrong with being a big advocate for Illinois.
That's how the game's played. There is a readily available video of coach Lloyd talking about how KK was an addition from a chemistry standpoint...
Directly from an Arizona insider, Kriisa is leaving because he was told his minutes were being reduced with the new players coming in and he was going to play more of a 6th man role. This was due to a combination of his inconsistent play and the talent coming in. There were no known locker room issues or problems with teammates and his coach did not force him out the door. I really think this he's a clubhouse cancer and headcase narrative needs to be put to rest for the time being unless something actually credible comes out that he is.Chemistry to BU is paramount. Why would Coleman Hawkins be the 2nd option? Dude has been terrible on offense for three years. The PG BU is looking for this year has 2 jobs and that’s its
1.Get the ball past the half court line in less than 10 seconds.
2. Pass the ball to TSJ, or CH.
Let them shine, get them to NBA, and next year the recruits will come rolling in.
It’s a chess game
His Royal Frankness was also pretty great from day one.The best freshman PG I recall was Bruce Douglas. He was tough right from the start.
Just wrapped up his classes. Should be here soon.Any word if Harmon is eligible? That would be helpful.
It may be the liquor talking but I love you.Just wrapped up his classes. Should be here soon.
Abisinthe? It may be the liquor talking but I love you.
Are you saying that TSJ and CoHawk are good shooters?I don’t buy that we are “desperate” for shooting at all. A healthy Luke G and TSJ with a focused CoHawk is going to be a challenge for any defense we face this year.
Our desperation is having a QB to facilitate those options.
Ty and DGL…your table is ready.
