I wouldn’t say pissed in my cheerios … But the explanations lately regarding decisions … I’m not exactly thrilled with …

Continuing to promote his own kid doesn’t help his case with anyone … Especially the boosters …

It’s the constant stubbornness that infuriates people … Not necessarily just me either …

Like you miss on RayJ … Okay, fine … Stuff happened … Whatever … The refusal to go after ANYONE else when there are good options available is baffling …

Now when the opportunity comes to add 2 more assistants … He promotes his own kid and a guy whose biggest job before coming here was being the video coordinator for the Indiana Fever … And since he’s been here with his great “offensive scheme” … It’s been nothing but 💩 that we’ve scrapped every year … Those are just the facts …

Meanwhile … Nate Oats hired Preston Murphy who’s an elite recruiter and has already landed a kid after being employed only 24 hours … Bryce Drew got the top recruiter at Wyoming to come to GCU for one of his spots … Hurley has Irvin and Irvin obviously got Ace to come there along with Shawn Phillips … Using those 2 new assistant spots to tap in to new connections is a major advantage that Brad refused to take advantage of …

Once again Brad being stubborn and promoting his own kid when he could’ve hired someone like an AAU program director like Ryan Owens like Shrews did and tapped into his connections recruiting wise … Penny tapped into Andy Bormans connections with the NY Rens …

I just don’t like some decisions that are being made the only answer I’m getting is how we didn’t need a PG anyways and that Tyler is better than anyone else we could’ve got … I don’t have anything against Tyler in the role he was in … But when I know for a fact some of the guys that would’ve been interested … That’s frustrating …
Sounds like a guy with one foot out the door…

Frankly, this sounds like a substantial amount of piss on a not insignificant amount of cheerios. Frustrating indeed.

Yeah…you’re talking the Frank Martin (on the line up the line stuff right-o?

It did work at S. Carolina and K-State…well sort of… sometimes…with some of of the right teams. lol.

But yeah, it was just too balls-to-the wall to run consistently in these better conferences …with such a nasty gauntlet of 20 game season; and where its so well-scouted. You just give up too much if you’re not turning people over almost constantly. (It ultimately fails the cost-benefit analysis test.) lol

I don’t necessarily think he was a fool to try it…but yeah. I agree. To his credit, he changed course.

I’m not calling you a liar. But who told you it was a no-go/I’ll-advised if you don’t mind me asking. (Because they ultimately get to be right! Whoever they were.)
Somebody bigtime or somebody at one or the other levels? Not that, that means anything necessarily. Some of these folks at the lower levels can flat out coach.

I’m curious to see if we stick with the more traditional coverages this season. If he goes to a more a standard press at all? Or more often?
Actually he stated it after a pre season exhibition game in Underwood's first season here. He is coach at a lower level. As you know OSU had terrible defense in his year there. 155th in country. Could score though.

So, what’s the story with Windham on Meanstreets? Seems to be having a decent Peach Jam.

Known the kid since he was little, little … Actually coached him myself for a little bit funny enough …

He’s got an older brother (Jalen) who started at Creighton, then went to Ball State, and now is at Morehead State …

KJ goes to Ben Davis who went undefeated in Indiana HS basketball last year and those who know Indiana HS hoops know how hard that is … 33-0 …

Kid is a gamer and can really shoot it … Lot of mid majors looking at him right now … Murray State really wants him along with 4 or 5 others in hot pursuit … Travis Steele would love to have him at Miami (OH) and he actually used to coach at Ben Davis back in the day … Groce wants KJ as well … And Travis is Groce’s brother lol … Not a lot of people know that …

But with how he’s performing … Lot of HMs gonna start kicking the tires …

Unrelated to IL recruiting (I know, shocking that that could occur here). But Cooper Flagg has the worst case of Duke face I think I've ever seen (he's also insanely good):

He’s the most well rounded HS prospect I have seen in a very long time … #1 pick material …

If Flagg and Boozer team up at Duke … Look … Out …

1. You’re right … Brad won’t do it …

2. Both …

3. Stubbornness … And letting people who shouldn’t call the offense and come up with ideas … Call the offense and come up with ideas … Then scrapping it mid year and running Brads offense …
To your point # 3. Wasn’t it the trash defensive system that was scrapped last year making that the 2nd time in BU’s tenure that has happened? The ball got stuck way too much last year no doubt which forced some ugly bs to be thrown at the rim, but we still scored. I’ve always felt when they run their stuff they get the shots they want, we just were a putrid shooting team. Use RJ as an example, how many wide open shots did they dude miss last year. It wasn’t all of them, but it felt like it.

The better players don't necessarily make better coaches. Juwan Howard was a much better player than Matt Painter or Tom Izzo.
Of course this is true. But all three were very good college players who were able to bring that actual experience to coaching.

People can rationalize this however they want. It's pure common sense that there were lots of better choices and those likely weren't even explored.
