It isn't just the RayJ miss. It's his apparent refusal to do the necessary work to take advantage of the opportunities to make up for that miss. For example, Kerr Krissa would be an outstanding addition to this team. Brad didn't even consider recruiting him. At this point, Brad has put all of his eggs in this Ty to point guard experiment and a freshman. The situation doesn't inspire confidence going into the season.
How do you know he didn't go after Krissa?

Unbelievable that he would get into an “strong altercation” with Rafael Pinzón…they were teammates in high school at Long Island Lutheran and for a year at St. John’s.
Really?? Pretty much par for the course if you ask me. Demons are hard to exorcize. Obviously he has yet to conquer them.

Here’s an article from the Puerto Rican newspaper, run through Google Translate, that gives greater detail.

Good riddance. Walking victim.

Andre was a joy to watch play freshman year. When Ayo was off the court Andre ran the offense and the team played well. So sad to see him struggle. Probably never should have left Illinois. He had equity here and people who cared about him. I did a $50 vimeo call with him before his sophomore year and he was hilarious. No idea what happened at half time at the Houston game but it was a sad ending to his time as an Illini.

He then acquired a puppy german shepherd like 3 days after that game. That's..... a choice, for sure. Kid needs help.
His frosh full-season highlights remain an all-time electric factory. Dang.

My theory is BU went into the offseason targeting a couple widely discussed PGs.
A funny thing happened on the long road to RayJ’s rejection.
He had this multitalented soph forward. He recruited a bunch of guys who play forward. He isn’t really sure how he’s going to use this kid who can do everything but shoot at a high level.
While RayJ is stringing us along, every day the sophomore is in the weight room. Every day the sophomore is watching film. Every day the sophomore is running point in practice. Pretty soon he starts looking like he belongs there.
BU is a coach who preaches hard work and accountability… Every day.
He has a kid living those principles, and for all we know, excelling at PG in practice.

BU may well be staking his future at Illinois on this sophomore.

I suspect he knows something we don’t.
I’m certain Ty has earned his chance.

One thing is for sure, from an objective, outsider perspective, I am 100% certain that zero of the teams we HOPE to be competitive with are going to be all that worried about a 6'6 Power Forward that played 17 MPG as a Freshman and averaged 3.3 points without making a three and shot 38.7 % from the line while chipping in 2.2 assists per game walking into the 2023-24 season as the Illini's starting point guard.

We won't know how it'll go until it happens but I am comfortably taking the under. Every Sophomore in the country is "in the weight room", "watching film" and practicing. That doesn't make them great choices to be the starting point guard on a team that has actual aspirations. It'd be nice if BU knows something we don't but I'm long passed the point of blind optimism and trusting Underwood for Underwood's sake. It's a zero-sum game and everybody can't be a winner.

Don't know if posted before but you can view Morez & Meanstreets play at Peach Jam in link below. Not sure what their schedule is but they're on rn and can catch other eybl games throughout the days

I tried to log in and watch, but game is already over. Morez did quite well based on the box. 16 pts, 13 boards, and a block on 57% shooting over 26 minutes. Nojus had 17 points.

Nevermind. I did an excellent job summarizing Monday's game.

Delete please
