Iggy performed terribly every time Self was in the building watching during recruitment and had trepidations. Iggy took Arkansas offer but then Nolan left. Self again went to talk to Iggy and said that he “wasn’t going to take no for an answer “ but the damage was already done
yeah I remember that too. Sometime $h!t happens

Insiders, think we’ll give this one a look? I’ve never watched him, but it sure seems like a PG from Springfield who scores efficiently, averages 5.4 assists, was the DPOY of his conference and doesn’t Jack it up from deep (34.3% on 1.1 attempts per game) might be a good fit.

Led the conference in steals, assists and assist-turnover ratio.

Edit: worth noting he’s coming off a knee injury, but seems like someone who passes well, scores efficiently and defends at a high level would sure be worth taking a shot on.. word is his knee should be 100% by December
I don't see why we wouldn't - in some ways he's the perfect candidate if he's not going to be available until December, he's not taking playing time away from anyone- he would be an insurance policy mostly. Having a defensive stalwart at the PG position that is a good distributor and shooter to come off the bench wouldn't hurt - we have the scholarship open and he's only taking it this year.

Yes … They’re looking into it …

Brad is a little pre occupied at the moment … ⛳

He is also doing a little recruiting in advance for those who know what I mean … 😎

It's not the worst idea. He was the best player on a 16 seed but didn't play in the tourney. Low volume 3pt shooter but shoots it at a decent clip and a good free throw shooter. Two time all conference defensive player and won the conference tourney back to back years.

Somewhat local kid that would add some experience and clearly plays hard. Don't know how well his offensive game would translate and he's small but would likely be able to give you some decent minutes of the bench if needed. Also, his teammates seemingly love him and were fairly emotional when he got injured so could be very good for the locker room.

Downside would be that he would fill the final scholarship spot in the event that someone more valuable becomes available just before the year or you have an early transfer(like Dainja did). Also would he even be interested in coming for what would likely be a bit role?

With all due respect, this is what FL_8905 posted. It could be interpreted as coming after MJ:
"That's not an accurate way to describe what happened at St. Rita. Bad coaching and no point guard. (Why isn't the narrative that Morez Johnson, the best player, couldn't lead the team to more wins with a supporting cast of DI prospects?)"
I believe FL was merely pointing out the strangeness in faulting Nojus for St Rita’s not performing better and that a similar narrative COULD be applied to Morez. Or James Brown.

He wasn’t throwing any shade.

Ty going on a broadcast & stating he's the starting PG and the team and everyone has his back.. then a week later they are going after a tiny guard from the Southland?? I don't like the feel of that.... Indy/Lville/0440 care to change my mind?

Depth at the PG spot … Can never have enough of it …

One leaves mid season … One quits on the team … Anything can happen …

I like confident Ty Rodgers … But starting spots are earned on the court … If he comes out of the gates garbage … I’d hope Brad has a pivot and Terrion would not be a bad one …

I’ve got a lot of questions about that knee injury and just haven’t heard back yet from some people who might know where that rehab is at …

I understand wanting PG depth, this kid Ty & DGL would make me feel pretty comfortable to be honest at the 1, given how strong we should be 2-5.

I really just don't understand where Brad's thought process has been all off-season with this PG situation. Go all in for RayJ, miss. Okay, Ty is our PG we are fine. Then out of ALL of the kids to hit the portal/be available... We decide to ditch the stubbornness for a 6'1 170 pound kid from the Southland......

Would love to have him, but the back-and-forth has been frustrating, that's all. I hope this doesn't shoot Ty's confidence down, he seemed really excited to earn the starting PG role.

Not even close to a done deal on Terrion … Barely kicking the tires …

If we add a piece … Brad might wait until after summer tours when there’s a dash to the portal for some certain guys who may want more PT …
