I think it’s been discussed here, but my understanding is the NY market has little interest in college athletics, let alone Rutgers.Maybe for similar reasons that the B1G chose Rutgers... The NY television market likely being high on the list.

You can believe what you want...just sharing what I know to be true. I'm not an insider in any way, shape or form, but I have a VERY close connection on this one. He likes Pikiell, but they're not in the top 4 or 5 as of right now. All I'll say is it'll be interesting to see what happens with Juwan after this year.So you’re telling me that a 5 star kid, that could choose to take an official visit to any school in the country, is choosing to go to Piscataway, New Jersey, to enjoy the process? Idk man.

Indy, you made a comment the other day that said Illinois does not have the resources to go after the high 5 stars, but how does Rutgers?

Juwan not gonna be there if he’s got a choice to leave my friend … And he’s not been very good at keeping it a secret …
Let's go fire up the carousel thread!Juwan not gonna be there if he’s got a choice to leave my friend … And he’s not been very good at keeping it a secret …

Kind of like Brad looking?Juwan not gonna be there if he’s got a choice to leave my friend … And he’s not been very good at keeping it a secret …
Yeah, maybe this is the real new NIL. Forget spending money on recruits, spend on rival incompetent coaches to help retain them in their current position.I'd give him a lifetime contract.

I think Juwan is probably trying to get out ahead of being fired. Underwood appears to be just keeping his eye open for something better. Not quite the same thing.Kind of like Brad looking?
Juwan wants to hop to the prosI think Juwan is probably trying to get out ahead of being fired. Underwood appears to be just keeping his eye open for something better. Not quite the same thing.
Juwan has been very strong recruiter but has only had one good season out of 4. If he has another poor season, combined with his threatening and slapping other coaches I think he is gone.Juwan wants to hop to the pros
My daughter graduated from Rutgers, believe me it's not any better inside and my high school had a better quality floorOh man.
Loyalty is the best.
What a tomb.
Can we get some of the big ten boosters around the conference to chip in on a fund to keep Juwan at Michigan?Juwan not gonna be there if he’s got a choice to leave my friend … And he’s not been very good at keeping it a secret …

Adidas really took a nose dive in regards to college sponsorship when they lost Notre Dame, Michigan and Tennessee in one calendar year. Regardless what you think of those schools, that’s a lot of revenue to lose. That makes no sense in context.
Indy had mentioned Adidas money in the past. What made no sense to me is, why would Adidas choose Rutgers of all the schools they sponsor. They really don't sponsor many, so maybe this is their way of strengthening all their schools. Remember a lot of the illegal payments in the past came from shoe companies, now it's just legal.
The biggest notoriety Adidas schools are Kansas, Indiana, Miami, Louisville, Texas A$M, NC State, GT, Nebraska, Rutgers, Arizona State, Mississippi State. That's about it.
Refresh my memory - are NIL monies taxable?Maybe we should push the envelope on this NIL $$$ and start awarding 8th graders some $$$.........just think of it like an allowance all the way through HS......I bet the parents would love it............
YesRefresh my memory - are NIL monies taxable?
I wouldn't call an EE and S16 in last three years running a program into the ground.Juwan has been very strong recruiter but has only had one good season out of 4. If he has another poor season, combined with his threatening and slapping other coaches I think he is gone.

He inherited a juggernaut from John Beilein (last 3 seasons under JB) and has run it into the ground
