New Trier really had some bombers, including a 6'3" Soph shooting 64.4% from 3 on 118 attempts. I just have visions of Sean Harrington dancing in my head. If you can hit 40%+ from 3, and not be a complete liability on defense, there is a place for you on my team.
Just for funsies.... who else is on your team?

12 other scholarship players.

We were 100-34 with Sean Harrington on the team, including 51-16 when he was averaging over 20 mins per game. That's an 75% win percentage.

We think of Goode as a 3pt specialist. Goode is shooting 38.9% for his career on 190 attempts, which is very good. Harrington shot 42.8% form his career on 446 attempts. In those 2 years where he was getting 20 mpg, he shot 42.1% on 285 attempts. He had high seasons of 44.4% and 45.9%. His worst season was 39.7%.

That is a weapon. That's not the type of guy who's going to lead your team. We're not talking Salim Stoudamire here, a guy who shot 50% from 3 while scoring 18 ppg, but a guy who can come in and hit 3s every time he's in the game, a guy who the opponent has to know where he is on the floor, is a valuable part of a team and more than worthy of 1 scholarship on your roster.

I mean Lee Humphrey played that role on the Florida back to back title team. A ton of talent around him with Noah, Horford, and Brewer but Humphrey shot 46% from 3 in back to back years.

Sidenote: Nico's older brother Davide Moretti pretty much played that role for the TTU team that went to the title game.

I apologize if this topic has been covered before. I read a little about Bryce Heard, a 2025 guard from Flossmoor. His grandfather is the late Ron Dunlap , an Illini involved in the slush fund scandal from the ‘60s. When you read about the ”scandal” in comparison to today, it makes you want to laugh (or cry). Sorry no link. I found it on Wikipedia.
Good player. HF was struggling to score yesterday & he was the only threat.

Maybe this is wishful thinking, but the more I hear Coleman/the coach talk about his knee, I'm wondering if he may be back next season. Honestly surprised either are talking about it publicly. Obviously teams will be looking into that big time before wanting to draft him. If he isn't 100% healthy, I'm not sure how he could keep up with an NBA schedule. Maybe he stays with Fletch and comes back to show he is 100% healthy shrugs who knows but I am surprised Coleman himself is talking about it so openly. Love to see him back!!!

Will never forget "Downtown" Freddie Brown...the best and most reliable shooter from the arc I have seen in the past 70 years. In the latter years of his career, he would sit on the bench for 3 quarters...then come in and hit 3 of 4 from the arc. Pretty sure anyone who saw him play would want him on their team. Freddie shot 37.3% from the arc for his NBA career...but when it counted most, he likely shot over 40%, especially late in his career. He played with PG Gus Williams for the Supersonics. The two of them would feed Sikma and hit 3s for the duration of the game and made that team a pretty tough out.

If I understand correctly, he has an offer but is not a top priority since the transfer portal has changed recruiting focus to experience over potential. I saw him play this year and was really impressed, would love to see him in O&B. Will be watching him play for the state title tonight. Go HF!
