Storr has a great game vs Illinois in B1G Tournament.....

Loyalty: "Bring us AJ Storr now!!"

Storr struggles in one NCAA game...

Loyalty: "Storr is terrible why would we want that selfish sob??!!"

I’m not sold on it being “a great game” for him. He scored a lot. He shot a lot. That being said, if BU wants him, I want him.

NIL but it will not last if they keep missing tourney’s.
Don't forget connections I belive one of the top Recruits brother played at Rutgers along with both there top prospects coming from new jersey which has been producing lately.i got to give there coach credit he has a chance of doing something.hes a good coach with average Recruits if he can keep that class for a 2nd season somehow he could do some special things

Question is can this style be replicated in future teams? I think Underwood hit on a goldmine with this group of players but obviously, when you lose TSJ, Domask, and Hawkins, it's going to be drastically different. Can Brad find that booty ball style combo guard/foward like Domask? Can he find a stretch 4/5 that has passing ability like Coleman? Can he find a do-it-all downhill player like TSJ who plays defense?

As much as I enjoyed the Trent Fraziers and Kofi Cockburns, those teams had a limit on their ceiling and this current team has no limit on their ceiling

How did Johnny Davis make it to the NBA then, a mere two years ago? Gard WAS running a program that worked, and then FORGOT? Nah. Sumpin' else going, my brother. I mean, fill in the blanks baby. :)

Obviously nil is a factor. He’s not the same type of player as Johnny Davis and fits our system much better. That’s like saying Georgia Tech produced NFL players with their triple option, so it must be a NFL system.

you always take a kid who isnt afraid to play. aggressive play is hard to teach but easy to coach.

But would he agree with that?
Ultimately, we need guys that want to win, play team ball, and be willing to take criticism. If he’s willing to sit when the matchups aren’t good for him or after being selfish, then bring him in. But he has to be about getting his numbers within the team concept.

This team is getting recognition, because of their unselfish style, and yet, performing at a high level.

Let’s be honest, BU learned not to take guys that aren’t EDG’s. Let him decide if he wants him.

Good summary.

The thing that goes unstated is how TJ has deferred first option to Domask and he shows patience in letting his opportunity come.

And his time always comes, and even then, he passes to others when one might be tempted to force a shot.

In other words, TJ uses his abilities now to help others around be better. And they are all better.

Saw a rating of the portal transfers last year that had Guerrier at 80, Domask 132, and Harmon 165.
Domask's number must have been a projection of his total assists this season.

No ideas for the other two.

Storr is from Illinois and previously committed to Illinois. He is likely further ahead of TSJ st same stage. If he is in the portal, possibly best replacement for TSJ. Add Crews as a Domask replacement and possibly a Knect type player to replace Coleman. Like Kylan but will have plenty guards next year, what do we do with Sincere, Ty, Moretti, and Gibbs.

Storr is in the wrong system. Imagine TSJ in a system that slows the pace and doesn’t provide him the opportunity to continue to play downhill. It makes a difference.
He will also be tied to Chucky Hepburn who is a solid guard but he likes the slower pace and likes to shoot. Also Gard is going to recruit players who will clog the lane.

Look how often TSJ drives, what happens when there are 4 players around the basket.

Crews already committed.

I'm much more interested in the P6 guys that will enter the portal after the tourney than a bunch of guys at mid and low majors. You can definitely find the next Dalton Knecht from a Mid/Low, but your odds of success are much higher with a guy who has already proven it against top competition.

When I ran the preseason numbers and comparables, Domask showed likelihood of a very solid contributor and a major conference starter. It's pretty shocking him being rated as low as he was and overlooked by so many, as his metrics were really really good and players with his size, age, and metrics have had a high likelihood of success when transferring up. To Marcus' credit though, he deconstructed and reconstructed his game to one that obliterated even the loftiest of projected ceilings for him.

As for Quincy, metrics suggested Guerrier at the time was a gamble but a low downside one, meaning if you don't get much out of him he can still contribute as a backup but that he also didn't really project as anything more than a decent starter unless he reverted back to early college form which is not something you can bank on as more often than not it doesn't work. It's safe to say he has outperformed expectations.

Justin was the player that metrics really didn't like and projected him as a deep bench player. Even with the slump that has gone on for almost 2 months now, he's still outperformed that.

So, I think a lot of credit needs to go to Underwood here in talent evaluation of transfers. Since the transfer portal era, he's really only had 1 transfer play worse than expected/projected and that was Mayer. That's pretty remarkable. It's safe to say Brad is one of the best evaluators of talent out there. Impressive stuff.
