B1G finishes under BU over the past 5 years:

4th
2nd
1st
5th
2nd

If I could sign up for another 5 year run like that right now, I would. Even though we didn’t win the B1G every year, you could argue we competed for the B1G title 4 out of 5 years.

In the transfer portal world, 5th place finishes are bound to happen when the pieces don’t quite fit as expected, but BU’s gonna have a whole lot more Saturday starts in the B1G tournament than Thursday/Friday.

The perk of the transfer portal world is a bad season can be more easily erased the next season because you can rebuild your whole roster in one off-season.
I’m confident that he will eventually get us a national championship and possibly more. It’s a process and doesn’t happen overnight. Takes a lot of recruiting the right players and mix of players that buy into the system and that are winners. He’s good at doing that so we are on the right track.

Really, you could argue we won the B1G that year, also. The only people that believe we didn't are Michigan staff/fans and the B1G commissioner.

Am I the only one who feels a little … I dunno … uncomfortable? … with recruiting a star player away from a conference rival? What goes around always comes around, and I know we sure wouldn’t want to see our leading scorer someday depart to a Purdue, Indiana or Wisconsin.

I mean, this fan base was irate for years over Eric Gordon, and he never even played a game for us.

I'm sure Wisconsin fans will be irate if Storr comes here. That's not a reason to not do it. I'm certain our rivals won't hesitate to recruit our guys in the portal.

The two situations are pretty different. A lot has changed between then and now.

I wouldn't say you are the only one, but you are close. This is not the same thing. IDKWTI was out of high school and this is the era of the transfer portal. It is almost night and day difference.

Wisconsin fans are obsessed with us much like Canadians are obsessed with the U.S. (I worked at a Canadian investment bank for 15 years, boy could I tell ya stories). It's an inferiority complex based on cultural differences. Call it the "Paul Chryst effect". When Bucky loses to Illinois at any sport, the Badger fans lose their collective mind. Look at how they melted down on the message boards after Domask lit'em up. Even tho we live in an NIL world, guarantee they cry "Cheaters!" every day of the week and twice on Sunday - because that's how Big Ten teams have dealt with any success we've had since 1968.
