Is averaging 2 stocks a game good?

I am a believer of DGL’s 3 pt shooting but he is different than Luke. Luke is a specialist who knows what he’s doing offensively. DGL is versatile but needs to work on his shot selection (and defense) to stay on the court. You don’t want to make DGL just a specialist.
Having a year under his belt, I also think he will have the potential to effectively drive to the basket. Needs to be more controlled but he is quick. Upside is huge, imo, especially if he keeps the great attitude.

DGL needs to play within the offense and not force shots. At the very least he can be a guy off the bench to give us a spark.

for sure. that same could be said for every player.

yes. he has pretty rare gifts. upside, offensively, is a Trent type who can penetrate. that is a flippin' weapon

Whitney Young... why'd we miss on this kid out of high school?
It takes time sometimes for some kids to get to high major level, that’s why it’s better to develop in the mid majors which is what we’re seeing with some of these transfer portal.

Went from a strictly around the rim center at a skinny 6'8" to adding a high quality outside jump shot and really working on his body, he looks quite a bit quicker now.

From a mid-major big to a high-major wing.

Jase Butler
Rez
Jason Jakstys
Jake Davis (Per Louisville)
Luke (my guess 90%)
Amani (90%)
Buck (85%)
Nicco (75%)
DGL (75%)
Dain (50%)
+ walk ons

My best guesses from what I have seen, heard, and read. However, I have no inside information and I may be completely off base.
Who's Rez and buck?

see now I like this guy more than Davis in almost every way.

2 years as a starter, averaging double digit points, career 45% from 3 on 287 attempts, more rebounds, more assists.

I never expect a guy to step up in competition and continue to shoot at the same percentage. But when you're shooting 45% from 3, even a 5% dip, and you're still a fantastic shooter.

No guarantee he has any interest in Illinois. Being a North Carolina native, I could see Duke and UNC showing interest. But this is the type of Mid Major guy I get interested in.

If we bring everybody eligible back except Hawkins and are adding Jake Davis that would leave two open spots.

One of them needs to be a high scoring experienced lead guard type. The second should be a big, a big that can shoot perhaps preferable.

If we lose Moretti then maybe that lead guard need morphs into a true PG and scoring SG combo need.

I feel like Dante Maddox is a guy we should be aggressively pursuing right now, that's a fit under any circumstances and a floor-raiser.
Does anyone want Dug McDaniel aka Duggy Buckets? 🤔😂
